wild west outlaw themed reikland warband

Hi everyone so this is my frist attempt at a wild west outlaw themed war band so reikland seemed to fit with bs boost i want it to be pretty fluffy so im set on using lots of pistols even though they might not be the best but oh well here it is!

Unless it fits the model, I would not start the champion with the 2 handed weapon as he won't be very effective with it to start.

Just to clarify, the Youngbloods may be armed the same but they will have different experience tracks and do not count as a single unit.

The same goes for the Marksmen. You have 2 armed with pistols, sword and dagger and 1 armed with a handgun (and a free dagger)

You may organize these into 2 groups (the 2 armed the same in one group) or 3 groups (each warrior forms his own group). You may not count them as one group or unit. (ignore these comments if units was just a way of presenting them)

Since you have 10 gc left over you would be better served to take a Swordsman as the pistol, sword and dagger guy. The swordsman starts with a skill and has a higher WS which are both pluses in hand to hand combat.

i just listed it that way if not a 2 handed wep should i just go with pistol sword and mace?

They cost too much if you are using the swordsman. You could go with sword and mace and add the pistol later, or just give him a pistol and his free dagger for the first game.

Maybe you could use the pirates rules as alternatice, but the Reiklanders are also fine.

I would use more duelling pistols, because of the longer range and the to hit modifier.

I am interested and i would love to see some pictures of this warband.

Pirate rules i dont have those but i would like to see them.

I recommend that the last 10gc is used to upgrade one of the youngblood's pistols to a duelling pistol, they could use the extra accuracy and will level up much faster for it ^^

My theory with this setup was to start with as many pistols as humanly possible, since you may have trouble getting your hands on more during a campaign as even a standard pistol is Rare 8 and duelling pistols even more so! Swords, hammers etc are common so you can use the funds from your first/second battle to buy as many of those as you need. There is nothing worse than having a great warband theme that you simply cant execute due to unlucky rare rolls xD

I wouldn't bother with swordsmen/warriors until you have maxed out your marksmen (and ideally got your 6th hero), since the swordsmen's special ability is best utilised when using two swords on the charge (thus wasting your pistol shots) and you really want one of your marksmen to get "lads got talent". By adding warriors into the mix you run the risk of one of them getting LGT and filing up your sixth hero slot, which you don't really want. Split your marksmen into between 2-4 groups to maximise LTG chance

But anyway this is just my take on it, hope it helps ^^'

The youngbloods will just have to hide and survive the first game.

If they die... something went wrong (maybe the roll of a die - pun intended).

But well, they cost 15 gold crowns.

No worries, let us know what you settle on and how it plays, I'll probably never get around to making it on my own (too many projects!) so I'm interested in how it would play in real life ^^

I will definately play a Nuln Gunslinger list, but my Gunslingers will not be students, but rogues.

They will have had their training at the Thieves' Guild in Nuln, which strangely has a special "Gunslinger, Coach-Robber and Hitman"-Resort, that can miraculously provide a lot of the knowledge and drill known to be kept sercret in the Artillery School of Nuln.

Yes, Baby! Gunslingers are definately my second warband.

Each warrior comes with a free dagger and if you buy an extra it costs 2 gc so the 1st Champion should not cost 63. Nor should the 2nd cost 67, etc. The Marksmen with a brace of pistols should cost 110 for 2 if they only have the one dagger each. 114 with extra dagger.

Otherwise I think it wise to start with a Mercenary band from the book for your first warband.

Interesting ideas here.

It also reinforces to me how versatile the original Merc lists are.

For example, I use the Reiklander list for my Nipponese warband (good officers, martial training).

For my black powder heavy warband I went Marienburg - the extra gc help pay for more black powder - hence why I term that warband as Pirateburgers (no prizes for guessing the theme!)

Strangely, I don't have a single 'Big 3' Merc warband that actually reflects the province they come from
