So, as some of you know, we're just getting into the game. Surfing through the various thoughts on warbands here on the forums, sometimes someone is "discouraged" to take this or that weapon/armor option due to its "uselessness", unless they have a solid houserule for it.
I'd like to know if anyone has had experience with the Coreheim set and how does it compare to the living rulebook in regard to re-worked weaponry&equipment and any other stuff.
Thanks

Hey Lucas. You could go right to thee source for questions...or not. Here's Asp's Coreheim web site:

http://www.coreheim.com/

Now then, this really belongs in the Rule & Games Play Section. SO, I'll redirect it there. What a Face

Sorry, an honest mistake; I thought it would be considered commenting on a resource. Smile
I might very well go there, but I'd start by asking people who are not necessarily fans of the re-work.

May I also direct you to a recent thread on the subject, which includes some pros and cons.

https://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/t5529-what-s-the-deal-with-coreheim?

Given how divided fans can get over the subject, I think the thread is refreshingly civil.

I try to be 100 % factual:

COREHEIM
More Balanced
Fewer Warbands
Less fluff
More viable tactical options
Clean and simple rules
Less based on luck
Rules designed for small skirmishes
Made by fans 2007-present

GW MORDHEIM
Less Balanced
More Warbands
More fluff
Fewer viable tactical options
Contradictory and cluttered rules
More based on luck
Rules derived from large battle system (Warhammer)
Made by GW 1999-2004

@ Styro: Thanks for the direction, I did a quick search for any threads, but probably in the wrong board.

@ shotgun: It seems like a fair (ballanced Razz) estimation, at least from what I've seen in other comparison threads around here.

I think what we'll do is try out the original book and see if we come to the same conclusions as the authors of Coreheim did. Hopefully we'll be able to "transfer" any potential warbands with minimal hassle.

As Styro pointed out we already have a thread for Coreheim. In fact, I believe there are even a couple more. Please continue the discussion in the linked thread.

Thread closed.
