| Well, guys, after some help from you on the measurements, I gave a try and started the first building for my Mordheim table... In order to "attract" my fellow gaming friends to make a campaing here in Brazil, I decided to start with something big and imposing, as a little cottage will not have enough "pushing power" with them... Thus I made a ruined Witch Hunters fortess/dungeon. Armed with foamboard, foamcore, plasticard, glue, a toy skull and much patience, the result so far is this: Front Detail of the plaque which says "Abandon all hope ye who enter here", the classical Dante phrase at the gates of hell: Sides: Back: Top: Interior detail with a stair to the lower levels: Sorry for the crap pictures, I´ve used my mobile phone camera (apart from being a lousy photographer!). There are still lots to do, like texturing the roof (which can be removed for better gameplay), making the front stairs to the 2 gates, the 3 iron fences that go into the lower level, balsa stairs and some interior details, lots of rubble on the base, but the basics are pretty done! I´m quite happy on how it turned up, there are lots of gaming area and cover in it as it basically has 4 levels (ground floor, elevated ground floor, 1st floor, roof), besides the skull platform in the front which can support up to 4 models in it. I will keep you updated on the development of this project, and comments, criticism and suggestions are more than welcome! Cheers! Arcuballis | |

| That's really impressive! I immediately thought of He-Man's castle Greyskull from the first picture. It looks like it can house some exciting gaming situations. Keep up the good work! | |

| Hehehehehe, yes, I know... When I showed this to my wife she said "Wow, fantastic! What´s this, Greyskull Castle?"
Probably this was hanging in my sub-conscious mind when I´ve done it...

| Thanks for the positive feedback, guys, it was really appreciated! And feel free to "steal" the idea, Smile! I'm glad to be so inspirational! I've finished the building today and need just some little details here and there... Unfortunatedly I'm without the cable to connect my camera to the notebook, so pictures only tomorrow... Sorry... But I've created another thread to keep you entertained... Cheers, Arcuballis | |

| Well, after a long while, I´m back with some updated photos... As I´ve previously warned, apart from a lousy photographer, I´m terrible also on uploading my pictures and showing WIP stages... Hehehehe, too lazy... Anyway, here comes some photos of the skull castle finished and painted: But I may be lazy for pictures and not for modelling!! On the past months I´ve done a lot of work on my Mordheim table, and as the pirate theme was so high nowadays, I jumped the bandwagon and made a Mordheim Docks table! It was made of 12 40cm x 40cm floor tiles, some of them with different heights to give a more tridimensional feel to the table, and apart for the last 3 tiles (a cemetery area), it was almost finished: Overall picture: Some details with little terrain pieces: Floor tiles details (mosaics) Open swers The obligatory gallows (yet to be painted) Cemetery statues (soddy picture) Clock Tower One finished ruined house (to be painted) And 8 more to go (paint and details missing) Well, still a lot to do, but I´m pretty happy with the results so far! Comments, criticism and ideas are more than welcome! Cheers, Arcuballis | |

| Although it's been awhile, you've been knocking out some FANTASTIC stuff. The W.I.P. pieces have a lot of potential & the Skull Castle turned out WONDERFULLY. GREAT WORK! | |

| Well, guys, thank you very much for the positive feedback and compliments... Work was currently at a slower pace as I just have the weekends to do this, but still going strong. I just finished building 7 houses (the ones that appear on the photos as just black foamboard shapes), painted 4 of them and the clock tower... So still 3 to go, and another 5 little "corner ruins" to detail and paint.
But in order to give a break for so much "house" building (I dont want to cut roof tiles anymore on my life!), I started making a series of "dungeon tiles" to have another dimesion on the table, loosely based on the tiles provided on the BTB supplement. Only difference was that instead of having tiles with corridors in their middle, I'm making a sewer system, where the sewer passes in the middle of the tile and their corners where were you actually walk... Pictures soon to follow!
Cheers,

| thanks for posting these wip's man ! great stuff !! clock tower is awesome question about your painting the blue foam ; doesn't seem to be regular paint ? How did you achieve that rough look ? Was it sand mixed in your paint ? (I'm having my first try's with the stuff, but am still searching a good way to paint it.)
keep up the good work & keep on posting !
