| Despite the washed out effect on the top Guys photos the new Champions look to be VERY NICELY DONE minis. I'm looking forward to the eventual group portrait. | |

| Thanks, 5pointer. I will check out Avatars of War's website. The two champions look very good, "loaded for bear"as they say | |

| Did some buildings yesterday, was really tricky but fun as hell. And i also took the opportunity to take some pics of the others warbands. Just the lineup for the starting characters we all will be playing with. So this is my finnished warband that i will start with. Here is my older brothers Marienburgers + tilean marksman. Then we have my brothers wife's sisters of sigmar. My younger brothers beastmen, - one "hound" he's still painting. And our friends GF's dwarfs. and ofc i forgot to take a picture of my friends undead he's playing... But i'll grab a pic asap and put it up here to. So that's the 5 (6) warbands that we will be playing with. ^^ | |

| All the Guys & Dolls look TERRIFIC! Their setting (the building) is cool...be careful; making scenery is highly addictive. VERY WELL DONE!

| I think all of your models would benefit from a wash with devlan mud (or some such ink). they look just like models should before dipping. they have nice strong colors and are neatly painted, but without any contrast. If i were you i would buy a can of badab black or devlan mud and try it on a model or two, and see if you are happy with the results.
the great thing about this technique is that you can always go back afterwards and add more highlights for an even better look. | |

| What Moffe said! (which is what I said here twice before ^^) If you don't have time for wash and highlights, maybe your gaming mates do? There are some nice minis in every warband and the paintjobs are all on a similarely-good level as well. While I didn't like the Marienburger in the beginning, they now are my favourites, cause they remind me of the Vatikan's Swiss Guard. | |

| So Sundays game. Got around to 6 matches in total that day. Everyone did a trial run just to get the hang on rules and stuff. Then we kicked of with one match eatch. I had the fortune to play against my younger brother and his band of beastman. Our scenario, Breakthrough. I started of as the attacker. With my 10 man party i thougt it would be a easy deal breaking through with atleast 2 men and make it a quick win... didnt really turn out that way. >.< My brother managed with his small 6 man warband, pinch down 4 of my men on one side of the table with 2 heros. And on the other side his minotaur and hound managed to catch up to my captain, dog and champion. In the middle he got into combat with my priest and a zealot. So i just hade no choice but to fight through it all. In the end i managed to get enoguh of his beastman so he had to roll a rout test and failed the first one. I got 3 men out of combat in the game, loosing none, but my WP taking a hand injurie and losing -1 weapon skill. My brother got a hound and a hero out of combat, the hero getting a leg injurie (-1 movement) and the hound died. No big lose on either side. But i managed to buy me another flagellant into the warband uping it from 10 to 11 members. So now i have to paint me another flagellant to. ^^ No pain, no gain. | |

| Been some while since i've updated with new work. Still havent come around to shading and highlighting my miniatuers. right now i don't really feel the need to try it out, but maybe someday. I've also noticed that i have to flagellants that i havent put up here yet, just gotta grab some pics on them. But meanwhile, i've converted two of my witch hunters since i felt that they could use some more "punch" to their arsenal. First hero: Kurgan (anyone?) Removed his torch and gave him an axe instead. Felt he needed something more for those close combat parts i often get myself into, can be used both as one handed and two handed axe. ^^ Then we have Wolfgang (tricky one) Now him i gave a buckler (looks like a shield i know, but it looks cooler than a regulare buckler) the buckler and sword combo will also help him in the long fights. If the sword and pistol don't rid the foe in the first turn, the sword and buckler sure will ease him through any longer battles he have to endure. (think i will redo the buckler in some darker colors than they are now) | |

| The newly reequipped/more heavily armed look to the Lads looks FINE...that is one seriously large axe. WELL DONE! Since you mentioned it, I would paint the center/face f the shield in a comparatively bright shade to add a touch of contrast to all that black. All metal shields don't look right & weren't used as the sheer weight would make them too unwieldy in combat. | |

| Good job on having fully painted warbands at the start of the campaign! That is a great way to start. And pass on my congratulations to your younger brother for having the guts to start his warband with a Minotaur. No guts, no glory! | |

| Made some konversions on my warband yesterday. First of i made a new zealot with sword and shield,, so i would have two zealots with the same equipment. And i decided to add a bow to the group to (each ofcourse) So this is my original zealot that i added the bow for the purpose. And then i decided to convert my other two zealots with axe and mace to spears instead. Just cause their ws sucks so hard, so they could do with the ability to attack first. This one was already painted and ready, so i got him up and running fast after the operation. Assembled plenty more modells also that i will put ip pictures on when i get them painted. Alot of work ahead of me. | |

| Getting the first shot in or one from a distance is always a plus. The bow looks good on the Zealot, as does the spear on his brethren. NICE WORK! | |

| Hey guys! Been having some trouble with pics lately... Phone broke down, but have a new one now and some new models painted for the warband. Not the BEST pictures, but still. ^^ First up is a new flagellant, a bald one at that. Then we have an old zealot model i converted a tad so he would fit in the group with spears. as u might be able to se i also gave his handpupet a club instead of the regulare staff he has. And lastly my crown jewel of the three. This is a flagellant from the sprew box that i decided to turn into a zealot just so i could build out the zealot groups a bit. This one is with a sword, shield and bow... and another twitst. unfortunally i couldnt take any closer pics with this cam. :/ wanna see the zealot grab his sword and shield for a fight. XD | |

| The thing that appeals to me about the Zealots is, oddly enough, the same thing that appeals with my Goblins; i.e., a rather tenuous hold on reality. The G.W.'s newer Zealots look nasty & nuts; while the older ones have a certain silly charm to them. Watching the last Guy handle his weapons & draw his bow is a show in itself. All are WELL DONE! There are time when photos of lesser quality show off the minis better than a high definition pic. | |
