| Allright, as stated in the title, this is the thread where something painted by your significant other can be showcased. As the thread starter (I do start a lot of threads, do I not ), I though I'd go right ahead. Orcy Drummer by my significant other: | |

| Sorry I can't contribute any pics. the ONLY female in my life is a small dog AND she refuses to paint, She DID, however, do some interesting conversion work on a couple of plastic pieces I had laying arround. | |

| A brilliant thread idea Unwanted! I will force my "significant other" to paint something, just so I can post a pic. My little sisters did horrible, horrible things to a wood elf and an orc miniature a long time ago, would that count if I posted it? - DeafNala wrote:

Just tie a brush to her tail, hold the miniature (or her own "conversion") close to it and then do something to make her happy so that she wags her tail. Tadaaa, she has just "painted" a mini The resulting pic would be REALLY interesting. _________________ | |

| GOD, BUT I"M A JERK! I posted to this thread twice without complimenting your "significant other" on her work; I apologize for leaving such a NICELY DONE piece withou a word of praise. ...very different take on the Ork, nice choice of colors [I LIKE Red Headed Orks]; the use of the "rider legs perched on a rock pile is an excellent idea & well executed. BRAVO, keep going; YOU' GOT WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A VERY GOOD PAINTER! AND having THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN ONE'S LIFE take an active interest in one's passions is a treasure beyond price. | |

| IT'S RESURRECTUION TIME! Though, as a Walking Wounded in the Battle of the Sexes, I have no one to encourage, coerce, or bribe to participate, I feel [I was giong to say "think", but that sounded out of character ] this is TOO GOOD an idea to let it lay fallow. From a Gal's perspective this has a few things to recommend it:
- It will give you an idea what Himself finds so attractive about painting "toy soldiers". Shared experiences are the root of compassion.
- After a girlhood of playing at "Reality", THIS is your BIG CHANCE to do something that is NOT a training aid to becoming an Adult/Mother/Wife, but JUST something that you might ENJOY for the heck of it.
- It's an unique opportunity to be part of an area of Himself's life that had previously been inaccessible, ANd thereby enriching what, I hope, is already a fine example of True Love.
Caveat Virus: She MIGHT just LOVE it. This, of course means:
- Either the amount of $s you have to spend on minis may include 1/2 or more for Herself, or it could double.
- A portion of your Treasure Trove may be found on Herself's newly acquires Painting Table.
- You'll rediscover THAT Girl, who you thought was such FUN when you first meet Her.
Let the FUN begin! | |
