| Greetings forumites, After a WFRP induced absence, i return with some models for the new campaign Darkfury and myself are planning. Once i have typed up the campaign rules i will post them for c+c, but to start with here are some WIP shots of models i will be using. The campaign is based around capturing chaos spawn, where DF and myself will have two "main" warbands each, and one npc warband each. So first up is the first chaos spawn model, who is still missing an apendage, but i am now seeing the mistake in gluing and painting before working out which bits will fit

| Next is my Beastman Warband leader, name not decided yet. I really like the Gor models, goat heads, cloven hooves really strikes a chord with me He looks a bit better than the photos suggest IRL, but i would say that Not sure whether i will convert any of the normal beastmen or not yet, i can't see beastmen loaded down with packs, pouches and equipment really, they seem more barbaric and bestial than that, but we will see. | |

| Last one for now is my Centigor. I bought a GW metal one, but it looks too small, skinny, and almost two dimensional, so i have started making my own. The idea was stolen from somewhere, but i can't remember where. I would appreciate any ideas on this one particularly, as i am not really sure where i am going with him. The fur has turned out better than i expected, i have no ideas on how i could have improved it. The orc torso gives a much better size on the horse body, but i am now thinking a beastman head and arms will look too small. Orc arms would look odd as well i think. What do you think? Should i go more monstrous than beast? | |

| Try and put on a beastman head and beastman arms with blue-tak just so we can see how it looks. So far its very cool atleast I also really like the beastman you posted, but it looks very shiny. there are several ways to get rid of this, but i use army painters "anti shine matte varnish". it works very well for me. http://shop.thearmypainter.com/products.php?ProductGroupId=2GL | |

| VERY NICE WORK...the Chaos Spawn is particularly cool. I won't worry too much about proportions; most people aren't perfectly proportioned & you're dealing with a Creature of Chaos....if it's really small, name him Thrud. I think I'd go with the heavily muscled Orc arms myself. | |

| Thanks for the comments guys. Moffe, i am using matt varnish but i have never been that happy with it. I will try some of the army painters stuff thanks. Deaf, re Thrud , hahaha that takes me back, "Hell's teeth, where's me leg!" Here are the beastman arms: and then the Orc arms: The Beastman head looks ok with either i think, but the arms i still can't decide. The Orc arms look meaty, but are much bulkier than the horses legs, whereas the Beastman arms look better proportioned to the horse legs. | |

| evening all. I have been lurking for a while again, progress has been slow, but heres an update on some stuff for our new campaign, now expecting to start in March, so i still have lots of time to get everything ready. I have found that looking at this forum motivates me to crack on, so expect to see my post count going up The Centigor Chaos Spawn #2 Beastmen Witchunters beginnings Not really sure about this ones head, this was going to be the WH Captain but im having doubts now Possible Warrior Priest? This could be the Captain, with a suitable head and Pilgrim style buckle hat? Any advice/criticism appreciated as usual. | |

| Love the Centigor - great sculpting and paintjob. But the Warrior Priest really needs a hammer! The second possible Witch Hunter Captain gets my vote. The cloak makes it for me. | |

| Quick update on the Witch Hunter progress: 2 Witch Hunters Witch Hunter Captain and Warrior Priest The one thing i have really struggled with is boots for the bare footed Warrior Priest. Greenstuff is so hard to roll really thin, then wrap onto something without it tearing. Anyone got any good tips for this sort of thing? | |

| Finished my two Zealots and two Flagellants for the Witch Hunters. The bitey part of the warband is done as well: I said before i didn't like this guy's head, and as i had a spare cloak kicking around, i tried it. Is this better than his previous head? And lastly , inspired by the Vampire Hunters campaign reports and rules, a BoneCaller Let me know what you think. | |

| Some VERY NICE additions there! The Flagellants & their Zealous Buddies painted up TERRIFIC; they actually look more sinister than their chaotic adversaries...probably are as well. VERY WELL DONE! The Bone Caller is a really cool piece...nice kit-bashing/conversion work. AND, in my opinion for whatever that's worth, the hood is a definite improvement. | |

| First question: what is a bone caller? The dude looks seriously deranged love it! I especially like the evil dead book he is bouncing around, where is Bruce when you need a chainsaw? The models look great. Very good work on the centigor (why do the beastmen have such stupid name, seems like GW sometimes get stuck i clicheville) and the old school witch hunters are just perfect. Paint them in minimalistic black garb for the perfect gang of puritans Personally I hate the new GW spawns, the older version looks much more robust and spawny. BUT you did an excellent work on them! Bonus points for turning something I hate into something awesome | |

| Hey,
The paint jobs on the models look awesome and the greenstuff work is top notch.
Just wondered where you got the dogs? Not seen the minis before but I've only recently started looking at alternative minis to the GW range.

| "Bonecaller" is one of the named Necromancers out of the Vampire Hunters campaign. You can check out a thread dedicated to it in the Battle Reports section. | |
