Storm of Magic - Sartosa 5 "Daemon Week"

As part of our Mordheim/Warhammer Storm of Magic campaign (Sartosa 5: Scourge of the Storm) we are having a few themed weeks - one of them is Daemon Week, in which lesser daemons will randomly materialise during a Mordheim game and start attacking the nearest warband.

VERY COOL in a twisted sort of way! They both painted up TERRIFIC...the tattoos are a nice touch. VERY WELL DONE!
Is Big Pink one of the new Storm of Magic pieces? Some of the other things I've seen for the campaign are really nice pieces.

Ahhh, lovely paintjob, a pleasure to behold! And those tzeentch tattoos look very fine. What about khorn and papa nurgle, you dont want to forget them, dont you?!

Well if I had spelled it right the first time, it would have been "Big Pink"...the Pink Horror. I've got to proof read my stuff more carefully now with imminent senility rearing its ugly head more often.

These two are just regular plastics from my bitzbox. I bought a box of Pink Horrors to make Squig Parrots, like "Mr Beak", and I got a single Daemonette on eBay to make the mermaid - she came with two heads and since I ended up using a Dark Elf Sorceress to make the mermaid's body the rest of the kit was just sitting there...

Godfather Viktor and I have been discussing ideas for the campaign and random Daemons was one of them!

The high levels of emotion caused by fights, the use of powerful magic, the shear hatred that erupts during a warbands clash has always attracted the attention of daemons. But during a Storm of Magic they can find their way to the material realm much more easily: when there is low "Gellermetric Pressure" the barrier between the physical world and the Realm of Chaos becomes thinner.

Shooty daemons (Horrors) will appear 8" from a neutral table edge and will shoot following the normal rules for picking target. They will move towards a possible target if out of range, or away from them if they could be charged in the following turn.

A hero or henchman who banishes a daemon will earn 5 experience points.
