| The Watchtower lists a Slaver HS for Relics. My rules packet for relics does not include this. The Relics website does not work for me and I didn't see any downloads on Specialist Games. (The link in the Watchtower did not work, is it to the old site?)
Anybody got a link or just cut and paste it here?

| Thanks! The Slaver warband link is really to the Slave Master (confused me for a second), but I already have the warband thanks.
Where are the downloads on tactical games site? When I'm there I don't see them except for the FAQ.
I just double checked the references in this site's Watchtower. Was there a Slaver HS in Relics? If not the Watchtower references should be changed.

| Oh, I C&Pd the same thing twice, with the Ogre and Warband When you go to the tactical games site, here: http://www.sg.tacticalwargames.net/click on "Fanatic Magazine Resources" on the top left. It should then look something like this: http://www.sg.tacticalwargames.net/fanatic/so you can find all the stuff I linked above. And the two Relics-HS are the Holy Man and the Crimashin. The Dramatis Persona is Armen Abbas. Fanatic #94 doesn't say anything about the Slaver being from the Relics either. I think someone at the Watchtower got the Slaver-HS and Slaver-Warband mixed up, the reference should be changed. | |

| Ogre Slaver was actually from the SG contest, "submit your DP / HS". (Grumble grumble I wish I'd won.) | |

| thanks cianty! Now can anyone tell me how the slaver works? - Quote :
- Slaver: any hero or henchman put out of action by the Slaver will automatically be Captured (as per roll 61 of the Heroes Serious Injuries Chart in the Mordheim Rulebook). Note that any hero or henchman captured must be sold. Heroes sell for D6 x10 gold crowns and Henchmen sell for D6 x3 gold crowns. If a warband cannot pay this price, then that particular hero or henchman is sold into slavery and removed from the roster.
I don't understand the sentence "If a warband cannot pay this price, then that particular hero or henchman is sold into slavery and removed from the roster." Which warband can't afford the price? Who must the captured hero or henchman be sold to? Can someone explain this?

| I'll make an example. You have a slaver and he puts an opposing hero out of action: the opposing warband now can buy this hero back for D6x10 gold crowns. You get to keep the money and this hero's equipment (as per 61 on the hero serious injuries chart). If the opposing warband doesn't have the money (or doesn't want to pay), you still get the D6x10 gold crowns (and keep the equipment), but the opponent has to remove the hero from his or her roster. It is assumed that you sold the hero to some other slavers. You must sell the hero and cannot (if you are an undead player for example) create a zombie out of a hero the slaver captured. Same works for henchmen. | |

| So the Slaver is a kidnapper! I don't quite get the concept or the corellation between the Hired Sword's functiona and his name, but thanks so much for the explanation. | |

| A slaver usually means someone who takes and forces people into slavery. So in that way yes they are a kidnapper with the goal of forcing the captive into forced labor or in the world of warhammer possibly a cook-pot. Is this a cultural term? Does Slaver mean something else to non-americans? I just realized I have no idea where VK is from! Where are you from Von Kurst? I'm an ignorant American so I don't know much about cultural usage of words . Edit: I had forgotten Slaver can also be used similar to slobber. Although those of us from the States usually just say drool or slobber. | |

| LoL! What I am confused about is that the slaver captures the potential slave and then ransoms him back to his warband. This seems to contradict the sentence "Note that any hero or henchman captured must be sold."
Most slavers of fiction and history capture the unfortunate and then sell them as a slave. The "slaver" first attempts to ransom his captive like a kidnapper. If that fails he sells the captive as a slave.
I suppose I was being too literal with the word 'sold'.
