| Some time ago, I wrote a post about trying to make a Morr warband. I didnt sucseed however, and at this time I was making my pirate warband, wich is done, even though I have room for development, then I sort of got sidetracked and got really interested in the Merchant Caravan
Since I never got around to finish a Morr warband, wich I sort of hope to do one day (I am of course really interested in hearing any suggestions regarding this), I started to check the Caravan out. While doing this, my compadre Kalle asked me why I didnt make a Merchant Caravan, with the fluff revolving around a Morr traveling company. The Merchant is naturally the church representative for mundane affairs, dealing with money and the day to day business of surviving financially, the knights are naturally Raven Knights, the Magician is of course some sort of Morr Mage/Priest, the marksmen are hired mercenaries, and so forth, making the henchment lower cast brethren. I will start posting my figures in the correct part of the forum when I get around to fix the pictures. As I wrote earlier in the post, please feel free to add comments and ideas, even making suggestions for a completely different warband setting for my Morr priests with entourage.

| I really like this concept. It is often surprising what you can come up with using "count as" models, and your analogies all sound very good to me. You could replace the Magician with a proper Priest of Morr from Werekin's article. I'd maybe up the cost by 5gc or 10gc and keep the "Hireling" rule (just name it differently), because the Priest shouldn't become the warband leader (which would conflict with his special rules ("Protected by Morr") and his marks ("Augur")). I'd love to see this warband in the flesh. | |

| Thanks Cianty, encouraging! I will think about the Morr Priest substitution, and try it out when I have the whole warband ready to go to battle. My merchant wagon, will be a (at least I think so for now) wagon transporting a relic or something like it, perhaps a statue of great importance. There is also the hired sword Morr Priest, wich I will include along with some other casters or the like. I also hope that you get to see the warband in flesh (or the lack of actually heh) sometime in the future! | |

| Sounds interesting. I look forward to seeing pictures. The priest of Morr in werekin's is based on the priest hired sword. | |

| Yes I think I have to check Werekins Morr Priest out, since the original have some seriously sucky rules. | |

| I had the various Morr Priest options a bit confused for a while, I think I have it under control now, sort of hehe. One issue is, that the Merchant Caravan is a bit on the lower side, when it comes to power, and if I take the Morr Priest and roll the spell that yields immunity to being raised as a zombie... thats a lot of golds down the drain, not to mention that the survivability of the gang in the initial matches are very low, and the chances for actually winning a match is almost zeroed. | |

| I agree that getting a bad starting spell can seriously dampen the usefulness of a spell-caster. I think that every time that I have hired the Wolf-Priest of Ulric for my Middenheimers he has started with a prayer that is quite pointless. Two house rules for hiring spell-casters (choose one or the other) are... 1) Allow the first spell/s (or prayer/s in this instance) to be chosen when hiring the spell-caster, or 2) Roll an additional dice on the spell chart when hiring the spell-caster and discard one dice roll after choosing the correct number of starting spells for the spell-caster (e.g. roll three dice for a Warlock and choose two spells from the results and discard the last result). Quite a few gaming groups use the first option. My gaming group and some others use the second option. | |

| I like this concept!!! Although what is they simply are gathering bodies and donations to preserve said bodies? Have the wagon be more a glorified corpse-cart? That way damage can be explained away as not a huge tradegy? | |

| We have used both versions Rational described in out group. Choosing proved to be too strong (Silver Arrows are a killer spell) so went with 2) after some games. | |

| Whimps! Take yer starting roll and play! The state of todays youth, why in my day we rolled our dice and were happy to be able to! Grumble, complain.... Repeat self... Needless to say we take the dice as they fall and then complain about our bad luck. | |

| I have one big issue with all this, and it is that I really cant build what I want, its rather frustrating. What I do want is a warband that is centered around the Morr Priest with a few knights and younger brethren as heroes, perhaps even a caster of some sort as support, and the henchmen consisting of monks/brethren and servants. However, since this is not possible at the moment, and I am not sure I have the time (or will right now) to try to make a balanced but yet working warband, remember, they need to be dangerous for undeads, but still be viable against other warbands as well. Bah So far, the caravan yields the possibility to have a caster and knights from the beginning, and might be my only hope for now to actually make this kind of warband. | |

| What about protectorate of Sigmar? Could that work for Morr?
Or the Bretonnian warband? And just replace the leader knight with one of Werekin's morr priests and maybe drop a squire to compensate for leader with magic. Priest, Knights and Tyros for the heroes?

| Maybe it's not (or, if you prefere, it will not be) the most important among the rules but...putting the "black roses of Morr" could be an interesting addiction to items usable only by these priests. For more reference see Gotrek and Felix saga (book 2 or 3 if i'm not wrong). | |

| You could also try the Protectorate of Sigmar warband, which gives you templar from the start. Swap the pirest, give them a few Morr specific items, and perhaps give the templars some anti-undead speciall rules to make up for the weaker priest. | |

| The Protectorate has some blessed items that are anti-demon and undead. A perfect choice.
You could also try Brahm's Vampire Hunters, also from Letter of the Damned. They have a priest of morr already.
