I have two questions about the blowpipe.

1) Is this weapon two-handed? And if not it is possible to shoot with two of them in the same shooting phase?

2) Are blowpipes affected by quickshot?

1) You can only shoot once with one weapon in the shooting phase unless something lets you do otherwise. Pistoleer only works with a brace of pistols (not one-handed shooting weapons) so that won't do it

2) Quick Shot is only able to be used on either bows or crossbows, except crossbow pistols; it won't work with blowpipes.

In my group we are thinking of giving blowpipes the following special rule:
Small: Due to its small size and negligable weight the blowpipe does not count as against one's limit of ranged weapons.

Noone takes them at all because they are just that poo.

Inspired by historical ninjas, I also add:

Snorkle - A model with a blowpipe that is in water terrain (river, surf) can declare himself hidden.

@Styro--Skinks can do that anyway, but for skaven and humans it would be a boon.

@ObsidianLord--are you using the original rulebook or the Living rulebook (05). The Living rulebook is clearer at least on this question.

I'm wondering why in the living rule book and the FAQ and errata, after removing blowpipes from the Quick shot skill, have not reduced their price. Indeed, 25 gc is way too much for such a limited weapon!

I've just started playing with the Skaven and seen potential on the blowpipe, when combined also with the Infiltration skill. But, Strength 1 and shooting only once per turn... duh!
