| No... Maybe... Er... The rules for steel whips as they were printed in the Mordheim rulebook have undergone some changes. Check the errata. I don't have a copy of the rules review material handy right now man and I never play with warbands that use whips. | |

| Yeah...whips are no longer a 4" range / melee weapon. The now give +1 attack that strikes first when charging or charged. Also, they can't be parried. | |

| The updated rules are in the living rulebook, can be found here: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?catId=cat480008a&categoryId=1100010§ion=&aId=5300009The special rules for them are Whipcrack (quoted from the LRB below) and like mentioned above, can't be parried. - Quote :
Whipcrack: when the wielder charges they gain +1A for that turn. This bonus attack is added after any other modifications. When the wielder is charged they gain +1A that they may only use against the charger. This additional attack will ‘strike first’. If the wielder is simultaneously charged by two or more opponents they will still only receive a total of +1A. If the wielder is using two whips at the same time then they get +1A for the additional hand weapon, but only the first whip gets the whipcrack +1A

| Unless I've been cheating and didn't read it right... Also note in the above rule that it is a BONUS attack added after other modifications. The other modifications are that the whip gives you +1 attack for using a 2nd HTH weapon...(if you have another) and then you get the additional whipcrack attack when charged or charging. | |

| @Playtable: You're reading it correctly. That is indeed a special bonus attack in addition to the off-hand weapon attack. | |
