I've been wanting to do something like this forever but I'm too slow to finish anything to even get to more advanced stuff. However, I came across a really awesome gallery by a guy named Jon Law in which he photographed a Tyranid vs Space Marines battle using localized lighting and smoke effects. I've got an interview with him up on Tabletop Geeks now where he goes into some details about how he achieved these effects.

Wow, those pics are awesome! He really catched a creepy spooky atmosphere on those, well done. I´ve thought for years about to place some diodic systems into some of my mordheim scenery, a kind of greenish wyrdstonish shine, i think that could give the whole thing a bit extra fun. But due to the fact that i am quite lazy when it comes to electronics and technic like that, i havent done it yet.But now that i saw those pics, maybe i´ll get my lazy ass up!Thanks for sharing, floedebolle

Yeah, I considered on several occasions trying to make some torches lit with LEDs or something for Mordheim, but hadn't ever actually tried it. Maybe if we played with the lights low and some localized lighting my awful painting skills wouldn't show as much. Wink
