Hi all,

EDIT: as Google docs isn't working, please follow the URLs in the posts below.

Can you give me some pointers about the game-balance of these scenario's? They are meant for new warbands, though I'm allowing players to brign their current warbands if they want to. Warband rating will be no more than 150-180 at most.

I will play a warband myself, a new undead warband. This is the only provision I made to hosting a narrative campaign.

The idea is that players venture into the village of Ermstheim which is very close to Mordheim. There they encounter a vampire lord who has devious plans yo usurp the power in Mordheim and overthrow the shadowlord.

The players should be able to win the scenario's although they won't need to finish the campaign with as many warband points as they started.

Vince

Google won't play with me. Unless the scenarios are heavily formatted you could just post them here.

Hm... strange. This will have to wait for a week then, since I'll be leaving on business trip tomorrow morning and I'll plan to be back only next saturday.

To be continued.

Okay, have placed the scenario on a website of a larp that I once used to help running.

you can find the first scenario at

http://www.kederan.nl/Mordheim/

If you can actually open this, ill be uploading the 2nd and 3rd part as well.

Since i have virtually no experience in placing stuff online, the lay-out is less than desirable. If you want I'll send you the word file by email.

anyhows, please post your comments.

I can access the link, thanks.

I am curious to see if you can complete the campaign as written. I have never been able to talk players into such an adventure. The mention of no ability to re-equip or replace losses is a deal breaker for us. That said, I think if the scenario had such elements written into it--such as a stash of Blessed Water in a convenient chapel or villagers that may be recruited for the campaign--then it might be doable.

Do Hired Swords get paid by the scenario or once for the campaign?

Also what level are the warbands at? The undead warband is a starting or new warband, but what of the the other players warbands?

thanks for your reactions!

I'm positively sure that I can get my players to do this. Most are suckers for lore and narrative campaigns have been long on our 'wanted list' which is why I get away with playing a warband AND doing the arbiter stuff.

Warbands are no more than 200 points max. I'd say that most people will be starting new warbands though.

In scenario 2 (hope to upload that tomorrow) there are some ways to re-equip, otherwise a 3-game campaign is not that long. Hired swords get paid by the game, as there is normal exploration where -in our setup at least- often gold is found instead or or along with wyrdstone. I can immagine that using normal mordheim rules, some more options to sell-off wyrdstone should be included.

Maybe the rewards are a bit generous, please give me your thoughts on this.
