New to the forum

Hey all, I just came across the forum yesterday after following a link from ashtons blog. I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with the caliber of modeling that's going on around these parts, and with it being specifically Mordheim based, it makes it the perfect place for inspiration on my recent projects.

I have only recently gotten into Mordheim after a few folks from Austin started up a Campaign at Battleforge Games. I always wanted to get into the game, so I decided I would start a warband and jump into the action.

After digging through my small collection of fantasy models, I finally settled on starting a Skaven warband. I'd always had a place in my heart for the little guys, but I never had a reason to do anything with them! I've always been a 40k player, and never made the jump over to fantasy.

I've got my warband about half painted at this point, if you're interested in seeing some photos right now, just click The Painting Corps button in my sig, it'll take you to my site/blog where I've got some of the little guys up. Along with some more of my thoughts about the game.

I'm a big time forum guy, but mostly just the modeling sections of each. I post on lots of different forums. I'm a moderator over on Dakka Dakka, and run the painting competitions there every few months. I also post on Austin Miniature Minions, and when I get to it, Warseer on a somewhat regular basis. I sometimes frequent Bolter and Chainsword when I've got some marine stuff to get feedback on.

I'm really looking forward to trolling the community here for inspiration and insight. Expect more from me in the near future as I get settled in!

Thanks for the thorough introduction! In case you didn't know: there's not only a warband for Clan Eshin but also for Pestilens and Skryre, just in case you were not aware and wanted to not necessarily play Eshin.

I wasn't aware of the other two warband lists, I don't have them on hand, are they Town Cryer lists?

Oh and sig fixed ^_-. Apparently I didn't save the 'always attach sig' check when I set up my profile.

Welcome here ! In my opinion it's quite original to use a blue color theme for rats, skavs warbands are usually grey or black themed, I like your style guy !

Clan Pestilens is from Town Cryer 29

Clan Skryre is from the Relics of the Crusades supplement (fan-based but looks very solid!)
