Agreed..Miss Victoria is a VERY TALENTED Lady; AND anyone who refers to Space Marines as "pointy nosed robot guys" is cool in my books.

The Goblins are almost entirely 40K bits, apart from added weapons - clubs are from the Beastman Ungor box, Don Snotto's cutlass is Empire Militia. The plastic Gretchin make awesome common Gobbos!

Edit: should also say that Don Snotto is not a 40k Grot - he's the snotling model from the old (out ot production), multi-part, Night Goblin set,

Na, I'm Al Muktar over there. Sorry I can't handle A5, but I'll lurk a bit to keep tabs on you all. And I'm glad you are posting your fluff and reports here as well.

Alan@I love the 40k grot set, especially as pirates, but be aware that they are a different scale than the old Warhammer goblins. Closer to the new Night Goblins from Skull Pass or the gnoblars from the Ogres.

Thanks for the caveat, Amigo. I'll try & check out some out of the box examples before I take the plunge.

As always, your work is amazing, WBK. Nothing like the bits and bobs that you have in your bits box that really gives each mini a distinct character. I feel inspired after looking at your warband, and I might have to pull out my Dust Devils and get them spiffed up. I certainly like the idea of creating a nice warbad rather than a whole army right now. Time is of the essence!

A5 is big, no doubt about it. I think the greenskins are going to do well, but of course you did not make your mark on our rosta, Al/Von Kurst. Curses! No matter, the beat goes on!

You can't really see it, but I've "engraved" and octopus design onto the Morion helmet.

Now THAT Ogre I like a lot. Great idea with the cloak. And you're right, the octopus I can just "almost see" in the last pic. But that will change once there is some paint on.

The Big Guy has a LOT of style & flair...suitable for a GenlteOgre of Old Estallia. The cape makes the mini. After a certain amount of staring, I spotted the Octopus; it's like finding a face on the Moon...years of drug abuse & Andy Warhol paintings were an aid in this. FINE WORK!

Octopus? I'm sure I'd have seen it when the guy is painted, like he probably is by now. One of them cultists is he?

OH WOW, MAN! There's an Octopus on the Cat's Hat...LOOKIN' GOOD! A KRAKEN FINE JOB!

Yeah! See I told you I would see it when it was painted. Looks pretty damn good in some of the photos. (Blurry in others but lots of things look blurry to me, and sometimes its a good thing.)

Hope to see more reports soon. Maybe the lads could steal a ship next time they're in port...
