| Hello everyone,
I am a long time gamer of RPG's as well as tabletop miniatures. I have been playing games since D&D came in the red boxed set back in the 80's. I have been playing Warhammer 40K (Ultramarines), Necromunda (Adeptes Arbites) and Mordheim (Shadow Warriors) heavily for the past five years along with an occasional game of Battletech thrown in for good measure.
I look forward to chatting with all of you.
Regards.

| WELCOME!
HAHAHA beat DeafNala!!... sorry you don't know how happy this makes me. You'll see.
Anyway glad to see a new face around here because the same old ones were getting boring and I was thinking I may have to start talking with my warhammer models from some new conversation.... not that I'd do that cause I'm not crazy at all HAHA *snorts*... yeh.... Oh and I have real friends too ofcourse... just only I can see them, which can be difficult at times, especially when I go clubing and people see me dirty dancing on my own. Well that's if I did go clubbing but I never leave my mom's basement...
But anyway Hope you find the forum enjoyable. Would love to see some pictures of your army, if completed make a post of it in the minitures gallery? that'd be awesome.
And what's Battletech?

| WOW...the Old T.S.R. Boxed D&D Rules...what a different Gaming World it would be without those almost incomprehensible rules. Now that both brings back memories & gives one pause for thought. HOWEVER, before I drift off into revelry... WELCOME ABOARD Cool Tom the A's Yet Surprisingly Inspirational Mordheim Forum. May your stay be a LONG & MERRY one! | |

And what's Battletech?
A fun miniatures-based board game about 40 foot robotic fighting vehicles knocking the snot out of each other. It had a massive amount of supporting materials back in the day. Check out these images for a flavour: Linkage

| Thank you all for your warm welcome. I have to admit that I took the title for the post from a t-shirt I saw on the miniwargaming website. I thought it was awesome and am trying to convince my wife to guy it for me... | |

| Skirmish based table top is so much easier than roleplaying But I think there are a good number of people that like to combine the two. | |

| I cannot believe that I didn't catch my spelling mistake. I am usually very good about these things. She is a D&D gamer, so the convincing for the t-shirt will not be hard. In fact we can get 2 of them and be goofy together, like normal.
Thank you all again for the welcomes.

| In my experience Mordheim, particularly because of its excellent campaign system, is very popular with role-players. I have lured people into playing it, and have converted them to big fans, who normally have no interest in a war game. | |

| I am in the slow process of getting my wife into Mordheim. She is not a big mini game player preferring D&D and Everquest 2. I will get her to play one day. | |

| My wife loves roleplaying games, but not generally wargames, But she likes Mordheim, especially when we play collaborative campaigns.
This past year our D&D character became involved in a war, and I made up guidlelines to convert them to Mordheim rules for a few larger fights, and then (after everyone had those rules down) I made Warhammer versions of their characters for some big battles, and that seemed to work well too. Even the playing spell-casting characters seemed to have fun, despite the much-less-reliable nature of magic in Mordheim and Warahmmer.
