Hi,

I was just reading through the Spoils of War section for Border Town Burning and noticed a "Book of the Dead" in the price chart.

Quote :

Book of the Dead: 200+D6x25 gc, Rare 12
(Vampires and Necromancers only)

Its price and rarity imply that it must be something powerful.

Thanks! Very Happy

Looks like it's the equivalent of a Tome of Magic, only it'd grant Necromantic spells instead of Lesser spells. That's my theory at least.

Quote :
This is a book that contain transcripts from the famous books of Nagash, the Great Necromancer. A Vampire can learn Necromancy magic with the Arcane Lore skill and this book and a Necromancer will gain a new spell permanently.

Thats from a google search. No idea if it's correct but it certainly sounds logical.

Sounds reasonable. Thanks both of you. Smile

Edited to add...
@catferret and Darkfury...

Yes you are both right, I just found out that this item is from the Lord of the Night article that was published in Town Cryer 11.

I just stumbled upon it while browsing the Mordheimer Information Centre: http://www.mordheimer.com/optional_rules/lords_night.htm
