| Here's a ogre bodyguard I've just started work on. I'm pretty happy with the miniature but not so sure about the base. Its for my witch hunter warband. I've tried to stick with the Mordheim theme by putting lots of gear on his belt. Any suggestions for the model or painting would be appreciated. | |

| That is one TERRIFIC, WELL FED LOOKING OGRE! I think the base is just fine &, when painted up, will enhance the Big Nasty Guy. All the gear he's totting REALLY fits well with his role in the game. If you go for the subdued colors normally associated with Witch Hunters, try break it up with at least one bright spot...striped pants are always a favorite with moi. HAVE FUN PAINTING! | |

| This is one nice looking ogre! What range is this guy from?
I wouldn't worry about the base too much. Giving the ogre some striking colours, a simple base would be enough. I always like bases that complement but not overdo the mini's on them.

| Isn't he an old Heroquest Ogre? The ones with the separate arms? Very good choice for the witch hunter warband - much more characterful than the normal ones. | |

| Yes, he's an old Heroquest ogre. I picked a set up years ago for $2 and they have been sitting in my gaming cupboard waiting to be used. His right arm is from a 40k ork nob. He has a few of the new ogre accessories on him as well as some skaven bells and a Bretonnian pouch. He'll work for anyone if the price is right!
I agree they are more characterful and fit better with the Mordheim look than the newer ogre bulls, though I've seen some nice conversions of those. This model is a bit shorter but makes up for that in bulk! I was really drawn to the Empire-style cap and shirt straining at the buttons.

| I also really like the look. I think the base looks fine, should look wonderful once you get it painted up.
I am not to partial to the new ogres, this guy does make a nice alternative.
