| VERY NICE monolith thingies...being a Goblin Guy, the top one REALLY appeals to me. VERY WELL DONE! Now on to the DUMB QUESTION OF THE DAY: How does 8 th Edition terrain differ from any of the preceding Editions? I've noticed that quite a lot of Guys have made this adjustment to their terrain references. | |

| Thank you for your comments Terrain in the 8th edition are interactive. There are more than 25 different features and they all follow specific rules. Some harm your units, other help them etc. It's really fun to play with such diversity on the battlefield! Cheers! | |

Cheers! Thanks for the explanation. It does sound like a fine idea. I do wonder though, if The Rules basically remained the same, whether it won't have been a cooler, & less costly to just come out with an expansion book to cover things like the terrain, Air Ships, et al rather than spending a year coming out with an ENTIRE new edition.

| well, it's not like that, 8th edition is much different, and to be frank, I don't like it very much. Tactics have been reduced to minimum, so we came back to Mordheim. We just started another campaign and put Warhammer aside for a while. But we do intened to use terrain rules from Warhammer for our Mordheim campaign, at least ones that can be used. We'll see how's that going to turn out. Cheers! | |

| I hope this doesn't take your thread TOO far off topic, but I had the same feelings with 7 th Edition. SO...borrowing a couple of things from it, I've opted for 6 th Edition modified War Band rules (W.D.). | |

| Very cool Terrain you got there, especially the Charnel Pit! Could also be a very creepy or homelike (for the undead fellas) part of Mortheim. | |

| This is definitely some cool looking terrain!
The 8th edition terrain rules sound similar to Malifaux stuff. In Malifaux they have specific (optional) rules on how to place specific terrain features and what effects they have on the game/area on the table.

| Pretty terrain mate. I specially liked the "new-ancient portal" idea. Maybe I'll do something similar in the near future. - Svenn wrote:

In Malifaux they have specific (optional) rules on how to place specific terrain features and what effects they have on the game/area on the table. (Enter sarcasm mode): No way! I'm sure they stole that idea from GW, who's designers have NEVER EVER "lifted" any name, idea or rule from other game, book or movie. They "invented" THE HOBBIE, do you remember? (End of sarcasm mode). Actually, at least HALF of the "new, improved" rules from WHFB 8th, are rip off from the ARMIES OF ARCANA rulebook from Thane Morgan. Now I know where the other half came from. But it will be very difficult for any of those games to sue GW, as they have very limited budgets, and GW has a permanent staff of lawyers and more money than god to push a lawsuit forever. Damn!, I guess my only contribution will be NOT BUYING their new box set. Best wishes.

| GW bashing aside, those are some splendid pieces!
I also like the new/old portal... but my "wh-if" - aka "What If..." is to somehow... have something... on the line that separates them. The 'illusory curtain' or smoke, or something... that shows the shimmering difference between two models smacked next to one another. That being said - better'n I can do, and I'd be ecstatic to see it on my gaming table as is.
Well done. | |

| I really like the forest. I personally hate making trees. I always feel like I should have some on the board, but they always just get in the way. I like how the tree bases blend into the larger base. You almost can't tell they come off. | |

| The Elven Waystone may just be the COOLEST thingy you've done thus far. That said, I LOVE the ramshackle look of the Watch Tower. Your stuff keeps getting better with each new piece...keep up the FINE WORK! | |

| Hey hey, I have a lot of stuff to show today, been busy lately, and here are some of the new stuff, and some old stuff made again for some new clients. So enjoy... This is another fantasy forest, this time improved, with a lot of scatter pieces that you can move around, and that block line of sight, and some fish in the pond. Another Altar of Khaine, this time with a tree: some small ''scatter'' forest... There is some more stuff currently WIP, so I'll keep you guys updated. Cheers! | |

| Hey guys, I thought a lot on how to make a forest from the terrain chart that will cover all types of forests in the terrain chart. As you know, you really don't have any idea what kind of forest is until you step into it. SO I made something like this. This forest has magnetized bases for the trees, stoned mushrooms are just placed on regular bases, and forest is full of details. Enjoy, and if you would like to see more, you can find a lot of detail pictures on my blog. All the best! | |
