| I hope you measured to make sure decently sized dice will fit all the way down. It's hard to tell the scale from the pics, but it looks like a tight fit. Don't want dice getting stuck! | |

| Nice, If I can make some suggestions: Stick some felt or cloth on the inside to muffle the sound, noise can become bothersome with Dice towers I've heard. Maybe not so much with poly-styrene and if you've glued together already...
Also think of some symbols of power to attach to the outside, something of importance to you, to sway the dice gods.

| Soooo I got motivated again to continue working on the tower. Not a whole lot has changed but I took some pictures so figured I would toss up a lil update. So I realized that when it came to painting the tower when it was complete, that the foam would prolly leave weird little bubbles and priming would just melt the styrofoam. So I decided to frame the tower with foamboard. Was undecided at first to leave or remove the little flap from where the dice come out, came to a decision to make it into a gate (not noticable yet) Put the corner work on the tower Starting to frame out the upper portion of the tower. Brainstorming for the rest of the tower: -Bottom portion: Stone -Upper portion: Framed with wood w/ crossbeams use spackle and make it resemble stucco -Roof crushed inward to make a drop point for dice -Deck/platform w/ stairs to top of tower for more useability As always feel free to comment or criticise or just offer your words of wisdom. I hope to have it finished and playable within the week... | |

| LOOKIN' GOOD! It's coming along VERY NICELY. If you could hinge the flap, it would be cool to have it fly open whenever you dropped the dice. Keep up the FINE WORK! | |

| I really like the idea of the tower having a flap on it!
Other towers I have seen have these big openings that have always bothered me, this is pretty neat.

| I do have plans to build a dice tower, and i was going to shamelessly steal your original styrene style. It will be very interesting to see how yours progresses. The only thing i think would improve it is making it a playable building as well as a functional one. By this i mean it having stairs and platforms round the outside ascending to the top, so it can have models moving round it, making it an integral part of the scenery. Maybe not a great idea as the dice going through may vibrate models off the platforms etc, resulting in falling damage | |

| I plan on putting a staircase on and possibly a larger platform at the top for some rooftop battles =D...
And if the dice make a model plummet to the gound than maybe well say that it was a earthquake, and have to test for falling =P

| Subject: Tower Update 9/1/2010!! Wed 1 Sep 2010 - 23:23 | |
| I gave myself the goal of having this complete by 9/3/2010... which doesnt look like its going to happen especially when I keep comming up with new things to possibly add on. Here is a current top-down picture of the dice cavern... So I finished up the frame work of the sides, here is the first attempt adding spackle to make it look like stucco. and tried to take a closer picture to see the detail, and the spot where it will show underlying brick [near where the framework intersects]. and this is the opposite sides from the one with the spackle, and a possible crushed corner Here are ideas ive been tossing around and am currently undecided on... Possible addition of a top platform for fighting purposes... BOTTOM VIEW: SIDE VIEW: Or to add another taller portion to the tower | |

| The parapet level looks like it overhangs too much.
The spackle layer looks great in the photos!
