PostSubject: The Rag Tags    The Rag Tags Icon_minitimeSat 10 Jul 2010 - 22:45

This is my lates Necromunda Gang and all in all the gang I'm absolutley, positivly the most pleased with. I've generaly painted my miniatures in drab, toned down collors. Either camoflauged or just plain dark. And I finaly grew realy sick with it. So after a game of Necromunda at a friends place (folketsfiende, incidently) I was going through some boxes with old miniatures I'd bought but newer used for anything and I came across some of my old "last chancers" models from 40k and thought they were to good not to use. So I decided on making a Bounty Hunter gang and went back to the boxes to find even more models I could use for this enterprise.

The main object I had in mind was to do something more collorfull, a walk on the wild side, as it were. In the end, my toned down genes got to have some say in the final scheme. But I'm still very happy and to tell the truth, I think it's a good thing I didn't go to far with the collors. A little can go a long way =)

The Gang:

Big Red:
The Rag Tags BountyHunterLeader

Red's the leader of the gang he's based on a Necromunda Bounty Hunter model (fitting, eh?). I filed down his loincloth (I realy hate pointless loinclothes) and gave him a new left arm (hand from empire militia and arm in greenstuff. Handy thoose militia things (no pun intended).

Cracker:
The Rag Tags BountyHunterSpecialist1

This is one of my specialists. He's a straight up "Catachan with Demolition Pack". I'm counting the pack as a futuristic grenade launcher =)

Blues Man
The Rag Tags BountyHunterSpecialist

This is my second specialist and this is Brains from the Last Chancers. He fitts nicly in a concield gunners nest on their main Ride along with a clipp on heavy stubber (pictures of that once it's completed).

Ragnar:
The Rag Tags BountyHunter4

Regular bounty hunter. A straight up model from Gaunts Ghosts that I ordered years ago just because I liked him so much.

Yakowitj:
The Rag Tags BountyHunter1

Regular bounty hunter. This is Demolition Man from the Last Chancers. One of my fauvorite models.

Alice:
The Rag Tags BountyHunter2

Regular Bounty Hunter. Warrior woman from the Last Chancers. Another of my all time fauvorits.

Cypher:
The Rag Tags BountyHunter3

Brains of the Last Chancers. A straight up bounty hunter.

Issenhaffer:
The Rag Tags BountyHunterGuilder

This is my guilder contact. An Astropath model from 40k.

MacIntyre
The Rag Tags BountyHunterDriver1

Grease Monkey of the Last chancers. This guy is a mercenary and also the driver of the gangs main vehicle. Since the only time the driver leaves the vehicle is when it crashes or explodes, I thought it rather fitting that his overalls are ripped and that he's patched upp (I figure that's what he does when he's laying there pinned =)

The Ride:
The Rag Tags BountyHunterRide1

This is an old Rhino Model, converted with bits from the new Rhino, card board and varies stuff I found in my bitz box (well, boxes realy. I have six of them, not counting models still on their sprues =).

Now, I could realy use some help here. The ride isn't finished yet. What I realy need to do is give the ride some more collor (as in bright collors) and make it tie in with the gang. Any suggestions and brainstorming advice would be welcome cause I'm kinda stumped.

That's a nice warband, I really like your choice of colours, a nice change to see something colourful and bright. And I love the bounty hunter conversion, it's a shame that they are not sold anymore.

Just paint their symbold on the side of their rhino, in the same bright green that you have used on the guns.

That should do it.

Hey, that's a good idea. Now I just have to figure out what their symbol is =) Maybe I can use the skull and wings that's allready on their guns, but it's so imperial. Oh well. I'll give it a try and see how it works out.

Hehehehe... very nice! I do not know if I like the particular green for the guns... but that is because that is one of the 3 colors that toy guns must be in the USA. Very Happy

I still vouch for a flaming hamburger emblem, btw.
