Evening folks

Thought i would stop in and say hi after being a lurker for a while now. Seems like a friendly community here

I'm from Scotland, aged 33 and started collecting / playing at 12. First issue of White dwarf was #110 Initially i played Dark Future, Space Hulk, 40k, Blood Bowl, Battle Fleet Gothic and worked at GW Glasgow back in 1997 / 1998

The last 12 years have been spent collecting odds off ebay but not actually playing or painting - which i plan to sort out by playing games or Mordheim with friends.

Nice to meet you all and with any luck i will be able to contribute to an already fantastic site

It is a very friendly and helpful forum, in my experience. Welcome!

And welcome back to gaming, too. I went though a dry spell of about five years when I first moved to Texas to take my current job - but been at it pretty steadily for the last fifteen. Mordheim is a good choice for returning - great system, and you can play with a small number of painted figures.

That was my thinking ! Although to be honest i lean towards painting and modelling more than playing. Good to be here though

There are quite a few of us that fall into the "more-a-painter/modeler-than-gamer" mode. The REALLY COOL part about Mordheim for moi is it is an INCREDIBLY interesting place to model AND to be inhabited by the minis I paint. Nice to have another kindred spirit on board.

SOmetimes there are lulls in my gaming - although for the last c 10 years the Friday night D&D game has been pretty constant - but breaks in my painting are much more rare. Although I do have periods of slow-downs and spurts, of course. When we are having regular Mordheim games it does tend to lead me to increase painting (generally I paint most of the figures our group plays with, although my wife does a fair percentage of the animals and monsters).
