| Nala don't worry its good that this thread is growing Im happy its making an impact. Im also starting to scribble down notes and brainstorm, most fun ive had with Warhammer for a ages. I think Vostroyans would make good steampunkers as well. Just started painting the models robes, ive painted the first half a dirtish browny colour. Any suggestions for what to paint the rest of them? | |

| Great idea, I love the fluff also. Sort of reminds me a little bit of the Necromunda Redemptionists. At least with the handgun. If you have a hard time cutting the plastic rod for the goggles, you might consider trying to find small plastic washers or o rings. Maybe from an electronics store. | |

How about a clockwork semaphore contraption? - Ironfoundersson wrote:

| Thanks for the ideas everyone. I might have to wait around a while to paint them because 6 dollar paints and pennyless 16 year old kid's dont mix. Ive been playing around with the colour's and I think dark red might work | |

$6 paints & impoverished Old Men don't work either...one of the reasons I go for Americana/FolkArt at 4 times the paint for $1.19 . I was going to suggest scarlet & golden yellow, but the dark red I did with the Death Corps dark brown great coats worked well. I'm also am working on a tower for my Steampunk Goblins. Toward the top I've got the steam powered observatory from Armorcast: Pretty cool, huh?!

It's actually not all that big, coming in at 4""/100mm in height. The one I picked up is still very much in the WIP stage as is my Mushroom Furnace: The "smoke" is available as a separate cinematic effect...Armor Cast has a range of cinematic effects to enhance most types of minis. Cool, huh?!

Deafnala, do you actually have any Steam goblins? Those 'shrooms are pretty sweet. Kinda like Smurfs gone industrial I'll throw in my lot with the dark red. Good colours to go with it are dark blue or forest green, Americana/Folk Art have some excellent colour choices, and very moderate prices. Definitely check them out. --Ironfoundersson

--Ironfoundersson I'm afraid so...along with Steampunk Dwarves to make each others lives miserable. Steampunking Mordheim is becoming my life's work...such as it is . If I ever figure out the photography thingy, I'll inflict them on you. ON TOPIC: for some inspiration, check out pascal's Alchemists of Dirz as a Steampunked Mordheim thingy: https://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/miniatures-f2/rascal-s-random-minis-thread-t3504-25.htm .

Not to mention it might shock some poor dwarf straight out of his beard. Always thought some of those grey-beards need abit of shaking up @Zodiyum - Got any more shweet models pumped out yet? Really would like to see what you got! --Ironfoundersson

Hey, no worries mate. Working during the summer has killed and Mordheim ambitions I've had recently. September is soon approaching! Hows the Norse going? I'd like to do a Dwarf band, but I'm not sure what sort of theme I should use. Spunk, Viking, Medieval, Imperial... the list is annoying large. --Ironfoundersson
