escaping from combat

I’ve just started
playing Mordheim and I’m having trouble finding the rules for escaping from combat.
There are hints to them in the border town burning supplement,
“If you are not already using the optional rules for
escaping
from combat, we suggest that you
at least allow them for
warriors engaged in close combat
with carnivorous plants
and man-eating trees.”
But I can’t find them anywhere, could anyone direct me?

We have never actually used that rule. I had forgotten it was there, to be honest. I wonder if we should use it.

Dito. We don't use most optional rules, because most of the time we have new players playing. So to get them to understand the basics first, we don't use the optionals.

We've used that rule for a long time and never had any troubles with it. More often than not, combat is either over before you get a chance to flee, or you want to stick around to take the other guy out. So it doesn't even get used all that often, but it is nice to be able to break from combat if the need is urgent enough.
