| Update:Ye 5000x4000 something pixel mappe for ye previewance pleasure courtesy of Jackdaysye olde ballad of Norsca. Courtesy of JackdaysActual logistics Update:Preliminary ticket price for a 72hour campaign at Foteviken is 30€ They've got cabin rentals at 65€ a night (thats four beds and however many you want to or can squeeze in on the floor.) with some type of hostel facility a short tab away. As it stand right now they can accommodate the most needs given a due warning beforehand (//end actual logistics update till I get to see the place and get some pics if its even on the map.)Keep looking? Todays second update(courtesy of Svenn for the detective work) : Ministry of Waaagh!!! still kinda barebones site. (its only noon yet but I'll be moving fluff from kalevalahammer to ease the pressure from jacks freewebs site.) 10 01 10: As we're closing on the materials sponsoring and general mapping anyone interested in helping out with the terrain building (as in actual building and not materials hording) can contact me for assigned map squares. We'll need to set a date for the trial run this summer and the actual game as well. Any volunteers and beta testers for this summer are welcome to PM me. Poll outdated so a rinse and reset would be apprechiated. And mods are free to move this as they see fit as long as its accessible to the intended player (whomever it may be)

| As in terrain builder or gamer? For the terrain We'll have to get a proper map going and grid it up and have GM and beta crew do a test run next summer. The main event I assume will take place some time during late summer '11.
And for anyone worrying about communications I can just say that Malmoe isn't that big and it's walking distance to just about everything and your never more than a few hundred meter from a 1-2€ falafel(Best damn falafel in sweden for that matter) or a snack shop.

I'm up for both, time and money permitting. I heard Lund had the best falafel. I guess a grudge match is in order.

| If you build the terrain it's just fair that you get to play on it and the terrain material will be baked into the event ticket price together with all the other stuff. This is why we need a head count before finalizing a table budget. (As far as transport is concerned the swedish caravan is southbound and should start somewhere. ) And I don't know what less great deamon of lies that's been whispering in your ear but a grudgematch is in order! | |

| Humm, sounds awesome! If you'll allow a Flemish contignent to participate i'll defenitly come! I've always wanted to go on holidays to Northern Europe (I've never been more upnorth than Amsterdam) and by the summer of 2011 I'll (hopefully) have graduated so I could do a trip to Denmark (And LEGOLAND of course!! ) ending in a fantastic mordheim weekend in Malmö. after all, according to Google maps it's only a 9:30 hours drive from here to Malmö I won't be able to help in the organisation however but I''l spread the word!! | |

| If you can be arsed to come your welcome the more the merrier! A ten hour road trip is not something I'm be too envious of but it would make for an awesome carpool. And then there's legoland of which I'm not at all interested in...at all...really... lucky bastardBut you should consider a carpool as even with the gas only split 4 ways is a hell of a lot cheaper. And unlike a Milsim you've only got minis and a change of clothes in the luggage. | |

But you should consider a carpool as even with the gas only split 4 ways is a hell of a lot cheaper. And unlike a Milsim you've only got minis and a change of clothes in the luggage. Like I said, I'd take the opportunity to make a trip through Denmark, around 1-2weeks so it would be worth the trip. and besides: I LOVE roadtrippin' but dude, seriously, HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE LEGOLAND ??!?? I've never been there before but like.. dude... it's LEGO... what's there that's not to like about lego?? (and no I don't play with lego's anymore , I play with toy soldiers now and build houses for my mordheim city ) hmmm visiting Legoland will be like a childhood dream come true.... (I just hope it'll be as cool in real life as it is in my head )

(Or, what I do when the wife's on vacation never counts as happening in realspace anyway.) On that subject I'll return to clearing away all my white dwarfs, the dreamcast and all the greenstuff and polymer clay stuck everywhere cause it's mashed up with vaseline. this not to mention the sprues and the sloppy paint residue in all the sinks (and the styrofoam dust and foamcore and the wooden splinters and the molle kits and MCs and...)

| Looking over the calendar:
12-14 august 2011 is from a friday to a sunday. and is probably as good as any date given that is well ahead of time.

| Thoughts: GOOD LUCK maintaining interest in an event that won't take place for close to two years. Perhaps you might consider doing something less elaborate this coming Summer, AND THEN build up to a Grand Gaming Event in 2011...just a thought. | |

| Alphabet soup Ver.002:
The 18month deadline is there because any project needs to end sometime. if we cant pull it together by then (thats both GMs and players) it wont happen. There is plenty of things to do untill then and most of it has to be ready by this summer for extensive playtesting to try to break it, but the idea of planning for a game 18 months from now is that theres a difference between building 10 tables in six months and prep a campaign that can handle 20 players and build 55+ tables in a year and make an ever onward trudging campaign that can handle the pressure of over a hundred players without breaking or getting repetitive.
the goal being that if we get that over and done with and its even a modest success we could move on to cleaning up the rough edges for the next more expansive step. 18 months also means there is no excuse to show up with proxies and not knowing the rules or how to use your warband. it also leaves plenty of time to save up for the trip and the date of sometime during the summer of '11 is purely a price and attendance issue, as well as accounting for actual work involved as well as fitting nicely into the timeline.
What's left to do is basicly some coordination of warbands, rules, a scenario pool and a bunch of tables. everything else is basicly done. (sounds straight forward but when you account for warbands, scenarios, items, terrain and game flow difficulty ladders for over over a hundred players it gets fuzzy pretty quick.)
The reason I'm still posting is for translucency so people won't have to feel stiffed when the actual game takes place. (I'd much prefer to keep a proper lid on it as premature leaks tend to develop into undeserved hype as old concepts bleed into actual game content, this has to be balanced against clear and proper facts being delivered throughout so people will know what to expect on site and why.)
this should be a game for the community by the community, and this forum is the only independent mordheim player access point making it a natural point of contact for current and budding mordheim organizers.
