| If hes costing you 180 after a series of games and upgrades thats fine, my current hero costed me 350 GC to get him where he is now. If hes costing you 180 at start up then thats a little steep. I would recommend toning him back, perhaps remove the weeping blades and pistols in leiu or fighting blades. | |

| Dude. What is this?
Proposal for a new Warband? Talking Skaven? Then just use the RB prices... When is an amount too much? I feel 160 gc for an Ogre Henchmen is too much, but that doesn't take me anywhere.
Please re-formulate your question.

Please re-formulate your question. He was asking if his skaven hero costing 180 (Base cost + equipment cost on top for weeping blades, pistols etc) was far too much for his hero in the beginning I believe. the question was meant in a is this too much for my hero in terms of all the equipment costs for a starting warband member. In my opinion it is, keep it semi simple and try to find the items after your first few games winnings if possible. _________________

| Also, I know there are some house-rules that wont allow you to have that many weapons. We use the rule that a model may use three weapons and one shield or buckler, so that way you wouldnt be able to use brace of pistols. The blades are bought in pairs, though, so that cannot be helped. But that is just one way of going about the balancing issues of the game. |

| Opheliate: Even using that House Rule, the last FAQ stated that a brace of pistols only takes up one weapon "slot". | |

| It also really depends on the playstyle of your group. If you guys don't care about maxing out on numbers and want a "cool" warband rather than an effective warband, with cool and exotic equipment on the heroes, then go for it.
Conversely, if spending that much on your assassin isn't going to leave you enough money to adequately hire/equip the rest of your band, to deal with your opponents, then I say cut back a bit. Really it's up to you and you know best how the rest of your group is likely to play.

| The only problem I see is, when are you going to use the weeping blades?
I mean, if you play your adept defensively (as you ought to), when would anything get to threaten him that 2xS5 attacks can't take care off? Especially if you have support nearby? And if you don't have support nearby, then your warband is probably screwed anyway.
But if the model looks cooler with weeping blades, for all means keep them too.
(BTW I think the starting assassin of my first skaven warband had weeping blades, warplocks and a light armour!)

Oh, i see, didnt know that. Well, I think in our games, we will still count them as two weapons, making the game more fluffy and not as easy to optimise. But that is just me. |
