Which Box Set will work well for Reikland? I plan on going pretty heavy with bows so i was thinking the archers one...but would the militia work or another? Thanks in advance.

The militia are very adaptable. They can have that real nice 'retired soldier' look. Mixed with some other bits and kits no two warbands will look the same.

A mixed of militia and archers would work very well I think. Maybe with some parts from the Empire general box or pistoleers for the heroes?
Very Happy

The Empire State troops are also good. If you maybe got a Greatsword sword sprue from The Bitz Barn that wouls add to the warband as well. A mix of Pistoleers, Archers, Greatswords and State Troops would make for a great looking warband.

I guess the best would be to have all the Empire plastic kits but I would start with the militia end archer box. You can go a long way with those.

The militia box does contain parts to make everyone an archer or crossbowman...

That might be interpreted wrong; the box contains 10 bows and 10 crossbows for 20 models. Still not bad, but you can't make 20 archers or 20 crossbowmen with a single box.

Well to be fair, in warhammer the majority of the unit must be armed with the correct weapon. So you could have 10 guys with bows and 10 guys with anything else and they would be 20 bowmen Razz But yes, you cant make 20 models have bows, and why would you? The militia box is a mordheim warband for a single one off purchase Smile

That rule doesn't translate to Mordheim necessarilly. It could be a bit confusing to use crossbows as bows in a game where you could potentially have both.
