Zelophahad's Cave Orcs

I started building these a loooong time ago (see my avatar) but was inspired to restart the project while on holiday this month. I'm actually working on a full 2000pt WFB army, but it's also a warband.

Uggg! are these the normal savage orc with added hair phil? Theyre so good i cant tell whats original and whats not?

Cant wait to see them all done. Any plans for forest gobbos too?

Did you change the eye colour on the old ones, or are they still red?

I got a peek at these Guys in Green on the Flame On Forum. UBERCOOL & CREATIVE! WOW! the new Lads have Blue eyes. GREAT STUFF, Amigo!

They look great! Really like cave men... well, cave ORCS they remind me of times I played some silly but nice computer game called Prehistoric

Yes, the older ones have had their eyes repainted blue. And yes, they're just metal savage orcs with hair added. The guys with the slings (bows in WFB) are based on selected components from the orc warriors plastic kit with lots of green stuff. The bare feet are from skaven, but I'm not sure if I'll use many of them as they don't seem very robust.




No plans for forrest goblins really at the moment, although other models planned or in progress for the full army include a doomdiver catapult, wyvern, chariot, boar boys and some ideas for naval games. All following the theme of course...

Damn it! Why didn't I think of doing that? I've been sculpting feet on to my unit of plastic savage orcs.

I think they're from the gutter-runners sprue. They look fine, but they're pretty flimsy though...

Bulking up the ankles will be a lot easier than entirely sculpting feet.

Thats a lot of hair squigs...

I think you should put some matt varnish on them, There a bit shiny now i think.
