Lord Gnorgrik\'S Bastards

HI , I'm an italian "master" who is organizing a Mordheim campaing.
To make the table nicer and inspire my group to start painting ... I made this band of higly customized and fast painted dwarfs.

I used for the conversions:
-Thunderers box
-barbarians bits
-2slayers blister
-1halfling blister
-1warlock blister
-1of the ogres box

Hope you like it!!! ^^ I'm going to make the bases and redifine some details (dark washes or a black lining)!

I like the lighting effect on the dwarf and you colour choice in general.
Too bad the pics are so dark though.

Maybe you can try some diffuse lighting next time and/or use Irfan View to change the gamma.

And I see you are using Vallejo: excellent choice

VERY, VERY NICE STUFF! The Warlock is just a little too dark to make out, BUT the other two...especially the Ogre...ARE TERRIFIC! VERY WELL DONE!

NOW that's COOL! I REALLY LOVE the way you did the armor AND the skin & hair coloration on the Slayers. VERY WELL DONE! ...what's next?

More light in the last photos ^^ This evening I'll take some new during the campain session.

A good fight between Dwarfs(252points) - High Elves(232pts) - Skaven(180pts)!!!

The next step is , make some good bases and finish the highlights and the ink washes.

And then ... I'm getting a Battallion of Undead to make 2-3 new warbands (I'll make one complete for me and the others will go to ebay ... 1band+bits+some money , this is the project)

The warlock is the first member of my girl Dark Elves Warband ... hope she likes and would like to join the campain one day lol ^^

Very cool conversions, the flagellatant arms worked out really well for some beefy dwarves.

One of my friends has prenoted this band for 80€ (without warlock & ogre)
The cost for the band was:
-30€ thunderers box
-12€ halfling & slayers
-26€ Painting for 13 models
(68€)

So i take 12€ + bits + 6 models that remains from the box...
I think its fair right?

I think that your friend got a OUTSTANDING War Band at an UNBELIEVABLY GREAT price...he MUST be a VERY close friend. You ARE a generous soul!

I simply must ask

Is there a reason why the slayers have blue and green skin!?

Cause it's one of the more original ways to spice up those dwarfs, I love it!

The Lord is from The Karak north to "praag" in Kislev ... that community is a bit "isolated" from the rest of dwarves Karak.
Being so near to many norse tribes , change the abits & colture of the community.

The starting idea is to make a band that looks savage like a norse clan ... for the slayer i need to say the true ... ^^'.

I saw a a Savage Orcs Regiment colored in that way so I stole the pattern ... adding a strong pink/purple beard (But some friends thinks that the standard orange would be better).

So we are moving fast for the next members ^^ (I need to exchange the members I'm selling with some new one!)

p.s. the bits from beastmen give us some nice masks , tribal axes and ... musical horns!!!

I'm very happy for how the elf skin looks ... I started with a warlock purple base just for an experiment.

wow!!! if that's a fast painted army, i'd really like to see what kind of paint-job you can do if you really take your time!!

if i even attempted to paint a model like just ONE of those it'd probably take me a week, and then it would only look half as nice!

BTW - did your inspirational technique work??
