Please welcome Cianty to MOD status with me on the SG Forum.

I had asked Cianty a while back and he accepted but it was just today I iniated the process. It is secret ritual that is top secret and we can not reveal our rituals but it was an intensive process. Hopefully, his scars will heal in time.

Cianty has been helping me MOD the Yahoo Mordheim forum and he is a big asset to TBMF and I am sure with the double top secret project I have asked for his help out will be a big help.

Does anything really change? Not really but there will be two of us working to stay on top of Mordheim as we are seeing a peaked intersted in finalizing some rules and doing a yearly Rules Review of which all see very feasible.

Yes, I did invite you several times but for some reason it never worked. Don't know why.

We started an RR last year but ran out of time when SG stopped the Mordheim Forum. Since it is back up again and renewed interest we will be starting it up again.

@Wyld...this forum has demonstrated that Mordheim is still alive and people are interested in keeping it that way so a big round of applause is directed at the people on this forum who are posing the good questions and looking for a balanced approach to the game. New MOD in town. Icon_cheers

With that, we are taking all relevant questions serious and will try to get the first part finished by the new year, but we will release updates along the way so not to keep people waiting.

After looking at the last RR that never got published but is stashed away at a secret conclave we need to touch it up as some recent questions have prompted a few things to be looked at. Which is a good thing.

Most importantly everyone MUST remember there is NO way to cover ever single possibility as Mordheimer can attest with us working on Death Squad we have attempted to do that with our rulebook and it is very very challenging as you must not make the rulebook 500 pages and not nerf the game at the same time.

Please check out the SG forum in the rules discussion as there is where we want to collect the questions. Do not get upset if we don't get an answer in a day or two as we all have things going on and I would like as much as possible to colloborate with others. There is a bunch of questions on Empire in Flames that are still unanswered as I need to go reread that supplement to answer those questions and hopefully we can have a seperate ERRATA for EIF.

Again, your passion and others on this forum have shown a positive light on the game and that people are truly interested in it.

In closing, there will be NO game mechanics changes only FAQ or rewording.

Aw, man, ya quashed my dreams! New MOD in town. Icon_sad ... I'm joking. Since the game is in the state it's in ("unsupported" officially by its owners, declared "balanced" by an official big dog, but where dedicated and known responsible fans are still allowed to keep a Living Rulebook), I would ask nothing else from a Rules Review than an attempted increase in current rules clarity, especially this time around. That's a mountainous enough task as it is!

It is a long process that requires a lot of time and emailing back and forth. I would expect something in the 1st quarter of the year.

All topics are up that we have noted to be looked at.

It will be similiar to the errata on the GW Website under Specialist Games.

We are still working on it.

The current Rules Review is plain text and I don't see any need to include fancy images in the FAQs. The content is what matters here.

Will it be a FAQ? Or will there actually be changes to the rules? If yes, will these changes merely be errata (to make things clearer) or will there be balance changes as well?

My understanding (based on Da Bank's comments to Wyldhunt above) is that there will be no balance changes (e.g. making Armour more worthwhile as per experimental rules on the old SG forum) and instead it will be closer to an errata to make things clearer.

Correct, we can not change the mechanics of the game (armor and etc) but as Cianty noted an FAQ or similiar to the 2005 Rules Review which really was a FAQ.
