| I receive for my birthday a lot of elf mini from the Rackam promion on ludikbazarI decide to make a Shadow Warriors Warband. My shadow master with a shadow walker : A shadow walker with the standart of Nagarythe and my shadow weaver : Three shadows warrior with bow : It's just what I need to paint for my first party with this band.

| They should work perfectly with the right colour scheme!
Are those the bases they came with btw? If you have them available, I'd suggest switching them out for regular 20mm square warhammer bases instead.. easier to manouver them around the cramped spaces of the Damned City that way.

| It's a 25 mm square from Rackam. I hesitate to switch but I don't have enought 20 mm. I try a party to see if it's a problem or not. | |

| I myself use a lot of Confrontation miniatures for Mordheim as most of them are the best minis availeble. Those that I don't use for Confrontation (yes I still play the game) I put on GW bases as the Rackham once are a bit to big. You could mailorder some bases at your local store. | |

| HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You got some UBERCOOL presents there... AND rightly so. I must admit having never see those minis before... VERY, VERY nice. They should paint up BEAUTIFULLY. Enjoy the process! | |

| I look at the gamesworkshop site and it's not very expensive to buy base. Do you think it's better to buy square Diagonal Bases ? | |

I normally go for the solid slotless ones; re, you can weight [a washer works nicely] them for a bit more stability AND an increased chance they will land base first when they take the inevitable Lemming Leap off the table.

| And you cut a party of the base to insert the mini ? or you cut the end of the mini to fix them directly on the base ? It's not easy for me to explain that in english | |

| You mean whether you should cut a hole or slit (slot) in the base to insert the mini or if you should remove the metal... "stripe" and glue the mini directly on the base? I would just buy normal 20mm square slotta bases. They have the slits and you can just insert the models there. Maybe cut off a bit of the stripes at the edges in case they are too long for 20mm bases. If you can only get closed bases, then I would definately cut a slit in them because then they will not break off the base so easily. I hope I understood you correctly. | |

| You understand very well I think I buy base with diagonal slits to have bigger slits | |

It's not easy for me to explain that in english You do just fine getting your meaning across. If you want to mount the mini directly onto the base you can either cut the tab [the part that normally fits in the slot] into a narrow wedge under each foot & drill a hole large enough to accommodate the wedge in the base OR you can cut the tab off entirely & place a pin in one or both feet & drill the same size holeinto the base & glue. I scenic the base with epoxy putty &, leaving the wedge in the feet, glue the mini to the epoxy before it completely dries. I also fill the bottom of the base with the epoxy putty & sand it flat.

| I love the little Hell Dorado Dreg!
Are you thinning your paints? The Ghouls in particular look like they have a very heavy coat of paint on them, and could do with some shading.

| Yes i like his shovel but it's just a little too little. Perhaps a malformation due to mordheim If somebody have an other explication for my background You have absolutely right for the ghouls. I paint it very fast before a party and I never take time to improve them (since 3 years ... ) | |
