| VERY NICE! I LOVE that Reaper mini [she looks like your Avatar's Girl Friend ]. The shiny finish ACTUALLY enhances the mini. VERY WELL DONE! | |

LOL! Actually the mini really is pretty cool I have to say. Reaper really makes superb dwarf females. The paintjob is really neat: well done gluecifer! On the other hand, I have never been a huge fan of the use of shiny inks for washing (I know, there are 2 schools, but I attend the other). Maybe you can try using Devlan Mud or Ogryn Flesh next time, just for comparison (they are both matt) and see how you like it. In any case, thanks a lot for uploading! _________________

Satin is a semigloss finish as opposed to a dead flat matte finish. Whether you GW washes, acrylics, oils, inks, or whatever, if you use a decent matte spray or brush finish, it should give the mini a nice flat matte. In this case, I think the shine gives the mini a sheen of sweat look which fits nicely with the character of the mini.

| It's strange that with some people, the washes actually do shine. Perhaps faulty mixing of components?
Anyway, nice dwarf chick you got there!

| No, I meant faulty mixing of the wash during the production process (i.e. a fault when they are produced by GW) | |

In agreement with the others, a very well done piece, the glossy sheen really does fit with the character of the mini.
