Gimme Shelter

This is the last Armorcast house I've had sitting around for years. The decision to play some Mordheim motivated me to get it put together. I intend to use it for WHFB games too, so I decided to not make it ruined.. It's just one of those lucky few houses not hit by comet debris I guess. ; )

Basic Assembly:



For a little while I thought I'd do the inside too, so I left the roof off.

Working up the wattle and daub outside:



Starting on the timbers. I wanted them to be dark, and well worn:



Have to do the windows and details next:



Nothing left but the ground work now:

I didn't know that the armourcast houses look this nice. Have to look them up now...

Where are the coons from, by the way?

My god man, that's absolutely fabulous! Very nice. Love the windows, racoons, door, everything.

God, but I miss this forum. Sadly, work is making me earn my paycheck these days and I just don't seem to be able to spend much time here lately enjoying such fine work.

VERY COOL! That REALLY painted up nicely. EXCELLENT choice of colors. The window ARE especialy well done; AND I LOVE all the little extra detailing; the Raccoons Raider of the Trash being a FINE example of well thought out extras. TERRIFIC JOB!

Just checked the link, are those 25 mm miniatures more like standard GW mini's or are they more like my 1:72 mini's? (25 mm just depens on where you measure )

That's really a nice little house! I feel more and more inclined to give cast scenery a go myself...

Oh, and thanks for the link, I really like the range of animals and scenery they offer, will definitely get some in the future
