Yeah, I've been eyeing some of those Okko figs for a while now, but restraining myself until I get some of the other samurai backstock I have painted up. Someday. I really like that ninja, particularly.

@skavenblight thanks! I don't do anything special ... just paint+a brush and hope it works out.

I also finally found a Helldorado miniature I've been after to be the esaul character, and it arrived yesterday, so I think I now have everything I need! 9 figs left to paint.

Wow nice clothing shades! I really like the green/black uniform! (I can see some nice purple there for contrast) It's turning out nicely, and the Sakkats (hats) look great! and that guy with the red bandana.. just.. wow nice bandana!

This is really looking great! Wonderful highlights and blending on the textiles. Also you've managed to cram even more character into the already characterful Foundry minis. Fantastic!

Now it's on to the hunters, with their handguns:



The one with the polearm looks a little encumbered, I know. I did the conversion as a nod to the Streltsi special rule in the Kislev list that lets them carry halberds and use them as a gun rest to get the +1 to hit. Kind of a neat idea in game terms, even if the prospect of carrying a halberd /and/ a handgun would be pretty cumbersome.

Man I love the whole concept of this warband, and they're brilliantly executed (and painted).

EDIT: about the bases: just looked at the first post again, so that clears that up!

I've been very busy enjoying the summer, but I've finally made a little time to paint, and finished the hunters:




That leaves nothing but characters for the warband. Granted, I'm doing a few more than I'd intended, just for fun (3 hired swords in addition to the remaining characters from the Kislev list ) all in the same style to fit the warband so its going to be a while yet, but it feels nice to be able to say all the rank and file are done.

I love the way you paint clothes. Other parts are also not bad, but I think clothes are one level higher than other things - I don't mean anything bad, these minis are great

Assassin and warlock look stunning. As has been noted, your work on the textiles is nothing but amazing!

Coming along VERY NICELY! The chain connecting the assassin's weapon is a cool touch. The choice of color is a refreshing change from the more uniform look of the rest of the War Band. FINE PROGRESS on a GREAT LOOKING War Band!

Been dragging on finishing these last couple, but I'm soooooo close now, I'm getting excited. Only a few more details to do on this lady:



She'll be the Esaul in the warband (chief figher). The figure is from Ilyad Miniatures

What I especially like is the fact that the paintwork is all tidy and no figure seems to be overdone. And as mentioned before, the way your clothing looks is really great!

Honestly love them though so much character!

The War Chief looks TERRIFIC...loved him in Kill Bill. VERY WELL DONE!

The kislev list that I'm using for this warband has something special in it . . . a bear! Well, I'm finally to the end of the band, and it was time to stop procrastinating, and give it a shot. I wasn't sure that I had the ability to pull it off. . . but you never know till you try, right?

So I started with this reaper 'dire bear':



And then got out the putty. First I rounded out his head and added new eyes and ears:



Then proceeded to really bulk out the body;



And after finishing the arms, finally got it primed and painted. I still have to work on the jowls, and some other details, and then the base, but its been so long in the works, I had to share, even only at 95% done:
