AS previous alluded to I am playing in a league. Tonight was the first night. Each week you can only play 2 games that count and countless one off games. I went with marienburg to try a balanced list.

My starting list is as follows
Captain dueling pistols sword
2 champions with 2 handed swords & helmet (worst combo ever)
2 young bloods with club and dagger
2 groups of 2 swordsmen with sword and shield
3 marksmen with long bows

My first game was aginst a reikland list withan elf scout? & a wizard with the magic bow spell, 4 marksmen 3 with bows & 1 with ablunderbuss, captain with pistols, 2 champions & 2 young bloods with club & dagger ( at least i had this right). He is a vetrean . Mission was treasure hunt. I search 5 buildings no box cars. he searched 2 with no luck that menat that the building 10 inch from his deployment zone with both young bloods and 2 marksmen had the treasure. He then walked off the board with the treasure. He put both champions and 2 swordsmen out of the game. They were all fine. after all was said and done i ended up with 72 gold after i sold my 3 wyrd stone shards. So i bought a luck stone for me capt and hired a wizard.

My second game was the exat same list only he didn't have a wizard but had 6 marksmen all with long bows. mission wa sthe same only this game was over in turn 3 when the 2nd building search housed the treasure again 10" away from the table edge and a young blood walked off with the treasure. I only earned 60 gold this time because of band sized with 4 shards. So after upkeep and rearming my champions with sword and buckler( sold the helmets and great swords). I am left with 72 gold and a 118 rating. All henchman and both youngbloods leveled up.

My list going into week2

Captain no change in gear 2 experience
2 champiuons with sword and buckler 2experience
young blood dagger and club ws 3 2 experience
young blood dagger and club side step 2 experience
marksmen with longbows bs 4 2 exp (awesome)
swordsmen with sword and shield ld8 2 experience(shrugs)
swordsmen with sword and shield st4 2 experience ( whooo)

Observations: Shooting is awesome sauce. Never got into combat . Enjoyed the game but i need to find a way to deal with shooting. I think it was a wash . I lost nobody got a good amount of gold and i now have a wizard. A wizaard.

It's hard to tell from the battle reports but in our group we have a gentleman's agreement not to "farm" buildings. We search each and every building as we come to it to try and ensure the treasure is closer to the middle of the board when found.

It's also unusual to roll the Treasure Hunt scenario twice in a row. Or is there a rule in the league to play a specific scenario each week?

Welcome to the forums!

Thank you for sharing your league.

Not to make too big a deal of it, but Treasure Hunt is one of those scenarios that I use to tell me something about my opponent. I don't call them 'farmers', but...

The 2 champions with 2 handed swords is a bit unfortunate especially for Marienburgers, but you learn. Were both games against the same opponent?

Good luck I hope they aren't too rough on you!

For the shooting thingy, try snapping some photos of the game, making sure your opponent is facing the flash with each shot; it won't deter he's missile fire, but should make it harder for him to find his targets. Suspect

Thanks for the Report. Keep up the GOOD WORK, & may Fortune smile upon your dice. thumbsup
