| Here are two old warbands I wanted to show to John Young so he can create a warband for the Boring Amsterdam Meeting. They are not painted all that well so I saved me the trouble of setting up proper light and taking individual shots. The first one is a Reikländer warband, which was the first warband I painted. Actually, those were some of the first models I ever painted (apart from a regiment of Orc warriors) As you can see, there is a group of 3 henchies with sword and shield, one of 3 with bows, 3 with crossbows, a hero with sword and dagger, one with sword and pistol and one with a brace of pistols. You can now guess that I did not really have a clue on warband composition back then when I was assembling this lot (lack of youngbloods, for example) The other one is a Bretonnian warband. I never got around finishing it (shame on me). However, I am determined to do so. The bad thing is, it's not up to my new painting skills, so I will have to redo the whole band. In the background, we have 5 archers (one got promoted and is also carrying a sword) and a jester with war horn and torch. In the middle row, there is a warrior with sword and icon, one with club and bow, one with a double-handed sword, one with sword and torch, one with club and staff (the obligatory fat monk). In the frint row, there is a fighter with two sword, gruesome warhound Wuffi and a fighter with sword and shield. John Young, I hope you can make something out of these miniatures | |

| Well well, I havent played Humans either soo I'll need to give it good thinking, with a list at hand, which I have not at the moment! (cant find it and internet money is running low). I'll do my best to put a list together and avoid you the hastle of carrying 3 warbands to the meeting, I'll just need some time. Thanks a ton for uploading these and offering me the opportunity of joining the meeting with you figs. | |

| NICE STUFF! Even more so considering they were first or early ventures in the craft. I know a fair number of gamers/painters that, after LONG years of painting, still do not paint to the level you achieved with these Lads. One of the GREAT advantages War Gamers, especially Skirmish Gamers, have over mere Collectors is that we tend to build "histories" for our minis. Before they've ever crossed swords with an Adversary, we've named them, thought out backgrounds, & deeds of Valour [or not ]. For those of us lucky enough to actively game, they develop their own personalities through their exploits on the Field of Battle, AND their Victories [or otherwise ] are enhanced by memories of Joyous Camaraderie. Thus our minis transcend their actual level of craftsmanship to become treasured possessions. SO... WELL DONE! | |
