I had a friend over the other day and just before he left i saw that he had a cam! AMAGAD! So i took a few quick pics of my 40k orkz so far - didn't have time to find all my mordheim minis and line those up so they'll have to wait.. anyways, here we go!

Comments/critics/advice welcome..

Looking good so far! I like the orange/green contrast a lot! And the skin tone.

I think you should add more black/brown onto all the metals, as they are a little shiny for Orks, I'd say.

And you should see if you can get the tip of the Burna's cigar a little more realistic (with a bit of black and white for the ashes - right now, it looks a bit like some plastic toy cigar Furthermore, try drilling out the gun barrels, it looks a lot cooler. Oh, and perhaps use a wash of Devlan Mud on the Nob's cloth parts and all the teeth.

I don't play 40K, BUT the Orks ARE SO COOL I have an ever-growing little band of Mahine Gun Toting Green Psychos that I work on whenever I can. Your Lads look TERRIFIC; I REALLY like your choice of colors. WELL DONE!

Thanks a lot for the comments guys! And thanks for the advice Eliazar! will definately try to work on those once i get my orks painted up to the current standard!! (still have 77 to go and i know i'll have bought 20 more before i've finished the first 30 )

Haha, yeah, I keep forgetting that you can't spend hours on a miniature when you are painting an entire army...

By the way, what wash did you use on the skin? The new one of the Washes series? Thinned down paint? Green ink? It looks very smooth and natural.

Yeah it sucks when you have to paint that much..

I used the new washes yeah - just a good layer of goblin green with large amounts of green wash on it - it dries in really well and if you use enough it ends up really good looking

Yeah it's definately worth it - actually i suck at painting! I just paint each "field" one colour and then give them wash accordingly... My models are looking at least double as good now!

I'm actually trying to come up with a way of making an orky nunchuck for my killa kan so i can make him Turtle'y (since none of you got the MiKanLangely joke hehe)

It's been ages since i've had an update here hehe, been in the middle of some moving and stuff, but i managed to paint two orks in between... Not all done, but here's what i've got so far!

Haha yeah... Awesome force in the making! I bought it while packing all my stuff down in boxes - moving to a new place soon.. But once i get there and get an overview I'll see exactly how many points I have now... My estimate is around 4000 points - but I might be wrong
