| Once upon a time, I bought the Battle for Macragge boxed set. The stuff has been around for ages and I finally decided to paint some of the miniatures. I did start with a Space Marine from the Alpha Legion. Being very tired, I did it kind of in a rush (even though it did not go too fast...), but I thought I'd show the result anyway. It's the first Space Marine I have ever painted, by the way.  | |

| He will fight for my Death Squads Chaos Renegades. Even though I don't know the rules yet, I think I will be able to have him as a counts as something  All I need to do now is to figure out how to paint a three-headed hydra on his shoulder pads. | |

| Yeah. I am really looking forward to the rules. And, of course, to the Death Squads Space Marine rules  I think I will paint up the remaining Battle for Macragge SMs in all colour schemes I find interesting and see what I like most. Afterwards, I will finally buy the Assault on Black Reach box which I wanted to have for ages but always refrained from buying (...) and start a Squad. | |

| I think the highlighting is a little extreme.
As for painting the hydras, draw a simple design, ie a line that splits into 3 at the end, then thicken it and do basic heads. | |

| VERY NICE! I rather like the extreme highlighting; it gives him an unnatural aura that is definitely a Chaotic trait. Personally I'd skip the Hydra & make him a Renegade with your own Chapter heraldry,  | |
