| So, despite the fact that I've never heard of anyone even using this DP - I've always thought he was pretty cool myself fluff-wise. Figured I'd give it a go and make one (as I never really liked the model of him by GW). Made him using pieces from the High Elf Noble plastic as well as a few other bits scattered about. Honest, is it too much? I added the wings, as I thought it looked cool. Should they be snapped off? Advice / opinions welcome | |

| It looks cool but it's definitely not Aenur. If you're not actually gonna use him in a game and you like what you've done with the model you should paint him up anyway though! | |

| Great looking model but the wings might be a bit much for him, but not really a big deal. You could write up some fluff that with his high initiative (his wings) allow him to climb better or something like that. | |

| The Wings ROCK! Whether or not it has gaming possibilities, it is an Ubercool, highly imaginative piece that you ABSOLUTELY have to paint up [or ELSE ]. Actually, it does have a gaming purpose; i.e., put it on the game table & you'll find all the rules lawyers in the room granting you the power to determine who you DON'T want to play or associate with. It's a fine piece of modeling & a demonstration of a fine imagination. VERY WELL DONE! | |

| Alrighty then, the wings will stay. Honestly, painting Aenur is second on my 'to do' list. I'm working on an Elephantaur (pic posted ages ago) right now and then I plan on moving on to this fellow. So, at two models to paint, that means . . . I'll have pics up in about nine years. Thanks! PS Honestly - I need another Golden Tom to get me off my butt and paint more often. | |

| I agree that the Aenur model doesn't do his character justice. However, last night I discovered while researching paint schemes that the model does make an absolutely stunning dark elf (a top ten rated GW fantasy model on coolminiornot). I agree with most of the others that your model is great, but it doesn't really have the feel of Mordheim's greatest swordsman. | |

| I always felt that Aenur was quite dark and grim, sort of elfin witch-hunter. Where are the wings from? They'd make a great elfin glider... | |

| Well, while I agree with you and the grim aspect, I figured such an elf of legend would be (like his people) haughty and stuck up. He'd wear the finest armour, wield the finest weapons, stuff like that. Honestly, the wings I felt just made him look cool and angelic/regal. Complete pointless from a game point of view, but I had a high elf great helm left over and my clippers were twitching to chop the wings off it. I could just play a harpy warband and make him the King of the Harpies . . . | |
