New old guy on the boards

Hi guys,

I thought I'd best introduce myself to you all as I've just joined the forum. I'm Darren although I used to be Howlinggriffon on the old SG games forum. I was one of the moderators on GW's old forums too if any of you remember those. I've been playing Mordheim on and off for about five years now and, despite owning pretty much all the warbands, I've unfortunately got relatively few painted as I've always got 101 hobby projects on the go for different game systems. My favourite kind of game is one with a campaign element so Mordheim, Blood Bowl, Necromunda, Legends of the Old West and Legends of the High Seas are pretty much my "core" gaming systems. I have been known to play 40K though (which is where I got my Howlinggriffon "Nom de guerre"!)

The last warband I painted was the Middenheimers I've posted in the Gallery section - I used those guys in a small Mordheim campaign I ran in October. I think I need to add some more bowmen to the group as I always seemed to want more of those in my games! Apart from them, I've also got painted Pit Fighters, Outlaws of Stirland Forest and most of a Witch Hunters which needs finishing off. I'm hoping to paint some more warbands this year so you'll be the first to see them when they're done.

Just had a look at your blog. Great! I've been searching for it! You're the one who gave me the idea of using those awesome Obelisk monkeys for LotHS. I think I found your blog by clicking on your profile when I saw you post on Cursed Treasures.

Are you posting on the LAF too? (The link to it on your blog still has the old address, by the way, so you might want to update that.)

That's right Cianty - I do post occasionally on the Lead Adventures Forum. That place is similar to this forum in that it gives me far too many ideas for new reasons for buying more toys! Those Obelisk baboons are fantastic and Josef, who runs the store, was really cool in dropping the postage as I only wanted to order one blister. He also sent me some free plastic plants as he thought it would help with my Gamesday table.
