Also, you can apply a wash of Dheneb Stone or Badab Black for some good shading.

Hihi, that is so easy to say, much harder to master Wink I am doing that (mixing my own grey since I don't have any grey colors in my possession) But it is still hard Smile
no, it really is as easy as I wrote it to be, you just have to have nothing better to do for a few hours >.>

White clothes:

Depending the real quality I want to give my miniatures, I use different approaches to painting white.

For gaming "tabletop quality" I usually paint plain white and add a "worderwash ink" wash. If I really want to finish quickly, I even will paint all the mini flat colors and use tinted varnish.

For a better but still quick and easy result, I'll paint flat white, and depending on the "purity" of the white, I'll paint deep folds either very light blue for a "clean" look (high elves, maidens), light cream or light grey for most Mordheim models, and even some unusual colors (green, pink, yellow) for strqange effects in alien models.

The layering of succesive lighter coats until using pure white I only use in display models, as is very time consuming, and usually need blending and other techniques to look really good.

Hope that helps, and please keep posting your pretty warband.

Best wishes.
