| I've been infected by the terrain here and on Terragenesis, and so have set out to build my city. My gaming group is dropping D&D for Mordheim, so I need to knock together some terrain. I am going to base everything on 12"x12" tiles of hardboard. The buildings are going to be foamcore, craft stick, cereal packet, coffee stirrer, insulation foam, Mordheim Building Sprues and spackle. The first of my buildings is done. Its a little more involved than I originally planned it to be, but thats okay. I'm calling it a guild hall for now. Its a filler name since I can't think of anything else to call it. The balcony is made from coffee stirrers and craft sticks. The fireplace is removeable for the purpose of painting. The gap is tight enough to hold it in place with out glue, for now. I'll decide whether to glue it after paint. Fireplace, made of insulation foam. Thumb tack for a chimney pot and bit of craft stick for the mantel. Ladders, made from balsa wood. Stairs, made from coffee stirrers and craft sticks. And finally, my little Mordheim Muppet. There is going to be a roof on this building, but I have set it aside for now. It will be removable for gaming purposes. C&C welcome, and more to follow. | |

| This looks great! An awesome building with huge gameing potential. I'm sure it will look splendid once it's painted. And cute kids are always a perfect finish for a good presentation. | |

| VERY COOL! It has some of the elements of stage scenery, VERY appropriate for the genre of gaming. There are a LOT of Swash Buckling possibilities in your WELL CRAFTED work. It is a BEAUTIFULLY DONE piece; AND it will be a pleasure watching your City of High Drama develop. Addendum: What a CUTE little kid!

| Very nice so far! Cant wait to see some paint added to it. The pic of the 'Mordheim Puppet' is cute. My son (who is 4) Love to paint with daddy. Will see a building like that, get an evil look in his eyes, and yell 'TORNADO'! Then the whole building is destroyed.
Keep up the great work, looking forward to more.

| Update! Here is one half of the section, I need ideas for the other half still. The upper floor is incomplete; I ran out of coffee stirrers. Creating the courses of shingles was a first; I've never done them before. It takes more planning than I thought. I'll tell you too, buying a box of these coffee stirrers from the local coffee house is gonna be a good investment. $5 USD for 1000 pieces. Comments and criticism welcome! | |

| COOL! If you place a similar structure opposite this one, you cou add improv walkways between the two at various heights [I'm a TALL building nut ] for some SwashBuckling Daring-Do. | |

| Good use of putting the old Mordheim sprues to work.
Don't forget you can trace out the old building designs on foam core and cut out to create more buildings.
Good work and thanks for positng.

Good work and thanks for positng. I actually did that way back when I first bought a Mordheim box set, but instead of foamcore I used balsa wood. I only have one left now; the others disappeared over time. Thanks for the feedback, everyone!

| Lord....bummer on only having one building left. That sucks. I have only lost one or two buildings over the years. Both are my fault for leaving them for others to play with. | |

I have only lost one or two buildings over the years. Both are my fault for leaving them for others to play with. I have lost a few pieces of terrain to that sort of attrition. Most of my Mordheim buildings - well all but the one - went to one guy. I should say went with one guy. Another piece I donated to the LGS around the way, and it disappeared within a month. Yet another piece that was too big to walk out on its own, a 30"x30" fueling station, got taken home by one of the employees for storage when space there was at a premium, and I never saw it agian. We think it got left behind when he moved out of the house he lived in. C'est la vie. Last night my buddy and I set up a Mordheim production line. We cut out 120 2.5"x6" panels of foamcore, as well as purchase some more hardboard which we cut for bases. We each started to assemble a building. For my buddy, it was the first piece of terrain he ever worked on. I will post pics of our progress later tonight.

| I got a Mega Paint Set! I got a Mega Paint Set!
Not that it matters for terraining, for the most part, since I paint with Delta Ceramcoat. I have been working, BTW, just not posting pics for the moment. I borrowed a new(er) camera from some friends, and am still getting used to it. Hopefully today there will be updates.

| Here is my entry for the Place of Worship competition over on TerraGenesis. This is my Shrine to a fallen hero of the Empire, which in the later days of the city of Mordheim was used to preach of Sigmar and dole out alms to the poor. The Shrine was created using pink insulation foam, cake pillars, and foamcore. The base is hardboard. The squares on the raised levels were made by scoring lines with a pen, then texturing the piece by pressing a piece of quartz into it over and over. The blocks missing were picked out carefully, to preserve the overall pattern. The statue was made from Empire bitz, then painted with Hawk Turquoise and dry brushed Beaten Copper and Brazen Brass. The alms chest is from the Mordheim accessory sprue, and the alter made of coffee stirrers. The cloth on the alter is tissue paper soaked in PVA and water. Once it dried I painted on the hammer and Sigmar's comet. The candles are sculpey with thin floral wire wicks. | |

Do you have pics of the 30 x 30 pump station? The original one? Nah. They all went when my old notebook took a poop on me. I am building a new one to replace it. I got some tips on how to make my plaster walls nice and smooth this time around. Thanks for the feedback.
