Calgers Purgers! my witchunters

i made these a wile ago, i am going to paint them soon.

first off Marius Calger, witch hunter captain armed with sword, pistol, crossbow and light armour.




Toumas steinvolt, witch hunter with crossbow, sword and light armour ( i think (i have lost the roster)




the witch hunter simply known as Karl, crossbow, sword and maybe light armour.




the warrior priest viktor Heinz, mace sword, dagger and light armour, he also has the prayer soulfire. he was inspired by the warrior priest drawing in the rule book(page 80)




on to the henchmen

the brothers grimm, flagellants armed with double hand weapon(scythe) and a morning star.(in the campaign i am playing with my brother the brothers grimm advanced to strength 5)





the zealots hanz and claud, armed with one sword, one bow, one shield and two maces. (hanz has the bow, shield and sword)




i will be adding some warhounds soon in the campaign.

Dude, we're gonna need to see some ID soon cause you're (as previously stated) either nowhere near twelve or pure wesome at this, very clean and intuitive all around.
Excellent follow through, if you start shaving the mold lines and rub out the fingerprints I'll give you a full 5.

Waterbased lubricants are more prone to thinning and slightly extends the hardening time of the core
while petroleum based/lipbalm/vaseline type lubricants causes less material distortion due to thinning but also hardens it faster (10% depending on the brand) making it a tad tougher (or forgiving depending on your personality) to work with.
The advantage with water being that if it gets between the layers the gs still sticks.
the disadvantage being that you get heavy visual distortions if allowed to pool.

a tip, when you rub out the fingerprints (before applying the gs on the mini) with whatever method the material will get thinner sooner or later, as it does you'll also achieve a more naturalistic fall (i.e. escape from the buttmaster 3000 robe/cloak)
if that's the style your after, if your not doing production the materials can in many cases get away with being finer and a bit more detail heavy.

(now go throw some paint on 'em!)

Nice conversions, and your green stuff work is showing promise. Like the previous response said, watch those fingerprints and mold lines! After you sculpt let it cure for about an hour. Then try taking a rounded object, wet it, and rub away the finger prints.


Unless you changed the maximum human stats as a house rule, flagellants cannot have strength 5.

COOL LOOKING Band of Bigots! VERY nice use of the Empire plactics & well positioned for a sense of motion. The Lads show a LOT of character...I REALLY like Tuomas. Keep up the GOOD WORK!

(i changed the colour around the base to blue)

I've been looking at the Flaggelants and wondering how they would work as a Witchhunter group. Well looks like I know what's getting done later this year

These are great
some excellent greenstuffing
love the big coats and hats

Cool conversions. My only gripe is that you can see the fingerprints in the greenstuff. To help that from happening in the future you could try wearing latex gloves. A lot of people roll their greenstuff out on wax paper and then pop it in the freezer for a few minutes when doing clothes, that way it's still maleable but won't pick up your finger prints when you start to wrap it around the miniature. Again, very nice work.

COOL STUFF! The Lads have the gritty appearance that fits the Witch Hunter persona nicely. Hans demonstrates why carrying a shield is an excellent idea. VERY WELL DONE!
