In the Ogre Waraband list there are two equipment lists. The "Ogres equipment" list and the "Ogres special equipment".

The "Ogres special equipment" has far less equipment (ogre club , hand-held mortar, iron fist and harpoon crossbow) and some of it is far mor expensive.

How do I go about these, since a lot of essential equipment is not listed in the "Ogres special equipment" list?

Which Ogrewarband are you talking about? I know (or better: just looked up now) the Maneaterswarband from Bordertown Burning. They have an Ogre Equipment List and a Guide Equipment List. The Guide-hero uses the Guide List, everyone else the Ogre Equipment List. Look here:

Yes that's the list I'm talking about.

Yes, on page 2 there is the "Ogres equipment" list. It's separated into Ogre equipment and Mountain Guide equipment.

But on page 3 there is another list the "Ogres SPECIAL equipment" list.
What about that list on page 3?

In BTB each of the warbands has "Special" equipment. It means anything listed there is ONLY allowed to that specific Warband.
Any restrictions on who can use it or how many of them are allowed are given in the text.

One of the reasons BTB warbands are only really balanced against other BTB warbands and should not be used against Core Rulebook warbands.

Ah, the "Special" list. It's special because only Ogres can have these items. If you look closely, the items in the special list are all also present in the other lists. The harpoon is in the "Guide" list, the other ones in the "normal" Ogre list. Mortar under missile, club and iron fist under hand-to-hand. The special items have an extra page because they are new to Mordheim and their rules are explained here for the first time. All the other items from the "Guide" and "normal" Ogre list can be found in the rulebook. You can equip Clubs and Iron Fists just like Cleavers for example, because they have the Availability: "common" rule. Harpoon and Mortar have "Special 10" or "Special 12" (next to the point costs), which makes them harder to optain. There are rules for special items and how to equip them in the rulebook.

Awesome guys!

thank you.

Now one more question.

Why are the gc different in both lists? (i.e. hand-held mortar 70gc vs 80gc+2D6gc, harpoon crossbow 25gc vs 50gc)
Is the difference for when you create your warband and during a campaign?

Yes. Note that in the list I linked, the harpoon crossbow is always at 50, club at 10 and fist at 15. The only difference is with the mortar.
