The Gangs of Maudeheim, Part II 02/09/21

Spike of the Gobbapalooza Gang got started yesterday. Once I got over the detail intimidation, I have found the The Gang are enjoyable minis to paint:

The eyes are fantastic- he could be a character from Alice in Wonderland.

Thanks, Codsticker. I am glad you like the eyes. I picked up a pair of close-up glasses from Micro Mark recently (Eyejusters). They are making detail work MUCH easier.

AND Reaper's 44027 Terror Fish, which in true Dali fashion is now a Flying Terror Fish (fromHELL!:






You now have a pretty good idea as to why I have so much stuff in backlog.

What's in a name? I was starting to think of Spike as Crazy Legs. Then someone over on L.A.F. asked if the third I was something extra that I had added to the mini...it is a G.W. embellishment. That started the wheels spinning, The Hindu Folks I have had the pleasure of meeting have a dot/black spot over & between their eyes, It is their third eye to God. SO I looked up the translation of "crazy legs" to Hindi = paagal pair. ERGO Spike is now Paagal Pair The Potion Peddler:

They are that. I have two more pieces after the Brewgit AND THEN two more mobs & two special characters. There is much G.W. cool creepiness to come...before other Folk's creepy coolness.

I think the Terror Fish will be interesting to do. I am working on some stalagmites to match the Mollog's Mob Flying Squig's.

Yesterday I based up Mollog's Mob less the Flying Squig:




For proprieties sake, Mollog the Troll got a back piece to his loin cloth:


I did the black wash last night. The Lads will get a white dry brush in a bit..or two bits.

So far , so awesome.

He is about the same size as G.W's old, metal River Trolls. I'll put up a photo of him with a man sized mini & Reaper's Stone/Mushroom Troll with the next update.

Ahh nice, I have a few stone trolls somewhere in a hobby case. Guess they bare about the same size which is pretty big indeed.

The Stone Trolls are slightly taller & not quite as broad across the shoulders, but you should have a good idea of the size from them. The base I have him on is a 3.1" (7.87 cm) diameter circle.
