hi all, So recently I'm getting more and more Mordheim games in, which also means I get to create and paint more warbands. This thread is to collect pictures of my warbands in one place.

The Ostlanders:

The leader and a champion

That's a great looking warband. I'd expect a less urban and more "wild" look, but since they are in MH, that's probably okay :-D Leonard turned out nice and I am pleased to see the White Knight lady. Where are "Pallictus"s torso and head from?

LOOKIN' GOOD, Captain! More games also means we get to see more of your BEAUTIFUL creations. The Ostlanders & Beast Hunter are all SPLENDIDLY DONE!†† thumbsup

Does, perchance, the increased number of games mean we might see a Battle Report or two? † What a Face

hey thanks for the kind comments.
Pallieter's torso is from an empire cannon crewman, the head is from the pistoliers kit (i think)
Leonard is indeed one of my favorite conversions. the torso is from an ungor.

I have finished the Ogre in the meantime. Pics will follow tomorrow

Finished the ogre yesterday. Well, the Ogre halfblood anyway. Some say poor Hervť is tainted by Chaos, some say nature just made a mistake, but most women in the village know that his mother had a love affaire with an ogre about nine months before his birth...

My Ostlanders have begun noticing a rat infestation in their camp. To top it off the rats seemed to be getting bigger every day untill one day these giant specimens were seen stealing off the band's food supplies

After chasing the giant rats away Wolfje, who has the keenest eyes of the bunch, saw some mysterious shapes in the gloom.... upon investigating two Skaven night runners were sighted scouting the camp

The ostlanders quickly drove the cowardly scouts off but then a whole group of filthy skaven emerged from the shadows

the verminkin all have their weapon arms magnetised so I can easily swap equipment between them. Some even have magnets in their left hands so I can add shields

The Rat Guys are SPLENDIDLY painted & based little verminous creations. The neutral colors do suit the subjects perfectly. VERY WELL DONE!†† thumbsup
Beyond the practical aspects, having removable arms means that should the Rodents receive a sound thrashing you can leave a trail of body parts as evidence of the fight. † clown

Classic, clean paintjob and some truly practical conversions. How does one magnetize a hand? scratch

thanks for the kind comments! I deliberatly used only neutral colours on the skaven, they're supposed to be assassins after all!

off course no warband is completly without it's heroes. Here's the leader Topper and a black skaven, Rell. the others aren't finished yet.

Luckily, Black skaven paint up really quick. these are two stand in black skaven. Since all my heroes either got killed or robbed I needed some stand ins with cheap equipment options.

again with a magnetized shield

on the plus side: I got myself a boat
! Look at me I got a boat!

it's all card board and took me about an hour and a half to assemble. No glue or knife required. My only alterations were to leave out some of the details for playablity. and it was dirt cheap! I think I got myself a nice little boat here

Is there a manufacturer for that boat? And would you mind telling me how you magnetize your hands?

why yes: the boat's this one: http://www.benl.ebay.be/itm/Terrain-for-WarGames-The-Hanseatic-Kogg-Medieval-Town-Scenery-Model-Kit-268-/251891807653
we got a bunch of other scenery for a friend's warhammer table which we still have to assemble.

The hands are very easy to magnetize. I use 2mm diametre round magnets, one goes in the shield, the other one goes in the hand. Simply drill a hole in the fist. But whenever possible I try to drill in the inside. Just carfully drill a hole untill almost through the other side. If you like i could try to take some close up pictures.
