PostSubject: Inspiring pictures   Tue 30 Sep 2008 - 4:21

Hello, I thought it would be nice to have a thread, where you can post random images from your web researchs, that inspires your creativity in terrain building.
For example, I came across this fantasy towers, when I looked for some ideas, for my wizard's tower (it seems everybody has one in his terrain Suspect ).
I especially like the first tower and I'll give it defintely a try:

VERY COOL AND INSPIRING! thumbsup

We DO have a Inspiration Thread. If you clink the General Discussion thingy, & scroll down, you'll find a Sticky appropriately named Inspirations. Fear NOT, cianty will, I'm sure, redirect your thoughtful thread over there! Thanks for sharing! Karate thumbsup

Exactly, Deaf! And I moved the Inspiration thread to the Scenery and Terrain sub-forum as this is where it actually belongs (the thread was started before we had the sub-categories).

Cool tower, by the way!

hi people!
i have got some images from the net that give me some ideas about how would bee the real city of mordheim (or another similar village or city), how would be its buildings, streets....
i like a lot of ruined villages of my country and for me, they are the best example of that idea.
one of my friends village has a lot of old ruined buildings (and near the graveyard), and when we where there we always make the same comentary "this is like mordheim"
ill start with some images ive get from the net:

Hey Xarly! Thanks for the pics. I deleted your other redundant thread with these pics, after you reposted them here (where it is more suitable).

Oh my dear, DeafNala! You are so right! I will bookmark that website. Everything on that site is totally awesome. And that tea house, although still WIP, is sooo sick! Thanks a lot for posting the link here, Al!

That snowy forest is cool too (literally). I do feel cold looking at the pictures. pale However, those tree trunks look a little too big for my taste (woodlands scenics, hu?). Anyways, great stuff there. bounce thumbsup

@ cianty: lol! I thought you might like that.
The trees I think are home grown [groan Suspect ]; i.e., the tops are commercially available evergreens with fabricated trunks. I've done this with some bristle pines I got from Heiki & Busch, although not as thick as nickolai's pieces.

The Rescue of Sister Joan

Another incredible Mordheim project by her: Bertha Bestraufrung (converted after the rulebook's illustration)
