New undead warband by Skavenblight

5 years ago I made my first undead warband. But it isn't satisfying for me anymore. I had all the heroes from Reaper, maybe the models look not bad, but I changed my idea for undead and decided to leave the old warband and make a new one

All the henchmen are finished In the new year I will be painting heroes.

VERY COOL...as one would expect from mostly dead Folk. They're all up to your high standards...maybe even higher than normal. The Dire Wolves are the best I've seen those minis look painted up. VERY WELL DONE!

I'm REALLY looking forward to your take on the Vampire.

Those dire wolves are especially inspirational, great skinned muscle effect.

Great warband! Superb painting as always, I especially like the bases they add so much character to the models. Like Ed I am looking forward to your Heroes and judging by all your other previous models we will be in for a real treat.

Wow, that's some downright nasty stuff. You'd think brighter colours would cheer things up, but it just makes them more vile. Great work, Skavenblight, as always. My favourite is the lady zombie - excellent models, very well painted! Keep 'em coming!

Now the necromancer!

Necromancer is ace! The cloth is so well done, and the colours over all very crisp. That mini will stand out on any gametable! The best mini of the bunch - so far...

COOL & VERY WELL DONE!...the beard is a nice touch. It looks like you're really enjoying the project...keep 'em coming & have FUN.

My favourite is the last dreg. The paint job is great as usual, but I particularly love his expression!

This thread is giving me some useful ideas, as I want to build an Undead warband in the near future.

You saved the best for last...very clever. I love the skin tones, the choice of colors, & the basing...two TOTALLY FANTASTIC pieces. WONDERFULLY WELL DONE!

May I ask, which colours did you use for the Vampires' skin? I have a few vampires to paint and would love if they could end up with a similar skin tone.

There was dark blue (Vallejo Model Color) mixed with elf flesh (GW), highlighted with glacier blue (Vallejo Game Color).

I'll try to make some pics of the whole warband, but the weather and the lighting is extremely bad since we have (at last) real winter.
I will also paint some additional miniatures for Undead, some zombies, converted wolves etc., but I needed to paint the heroes now, because we are playing new campaign with a few friends for 3 weeks
