Insulation foam and aerosol varnish

Hi! I´ve used insulation foam (polyurethane) for my buildings and the gaming table. As you know, I guess, foam melts when using aerosols. How does it react after it is painted? Does it still melt or can I use spray varnish after I have painted the whole area?

I believe it's the propellants and properties of the spray that melt the foam, regardless of if it's paint or varnish. It should be sufficiently sealed by the paint for it to be varnished. I would definitely try it on a scrap piece before turning your project into a ruin. Keep in mind the unsealed parts like interiors or spots that may have been missed.

When I make a piece of terrain, I will mix standard white (elmers) glue with the paint that I want to use. When it dries, it has a harder coat on it and can be painted with spray at that point.

After a piece is painted (make sure there are no bare spots) it is safe to use a spray finish. I make it my very last step; i.e., after it's completely painted & only lacks a final sealant.

Don´t worry Theomar Plus, I will definitely experiment first with some random piece. My ruins and buildings are too precious to me!

I was pretty sure the paint will seal the vulnerable polyuretane but still wanted to be sure before trying it.

I used the spray paint to melt insulation foam, when I was doing... cave or something like that. I got nice rounded shapes by using propellants.
