Modular Tile Table (WIP)

Hey guys, Its been awhile since I was here. I've been working on a modular table top project for some time, but just got back into it full time. My goal is to have highly detailed scenery that isn't he same set up every time. The best way I figured I could do this was to make 1x1 tiles with scenery and terrain on them. These tiles would mimic cobble stones and could be turned any direction to have an ever changing table top.

I currently have 2- 2x2 tiles and 24 1x1 tiles (enough to cover my 8x4 game table).

Its going to be a long undertaking, but i have the tiles prepainted and i'm starting on the scenery.

Here is my first piece after starting again. I ran out of wood, so its not finished with the details. But i wanted to see what it would look like on a tile.

Looks good, the tile system is kinda similar to my board. Cool house! Is that a 1'x1' or 2'x2'?

Thats a 1x1. The 2x2 are going to be the BIG pieces. I have a Hirst Castle ruin for one of them.

Are you me? Because I'm also going to be building a castle out of plaster bricks very soon!

VERY NICE START! The building is a good size with some interesting angles to it...you might want to consider making the floor section a bit more irregular. Keep up the GOOD WORK!

On the thinking question: I try to avoid thinking as much as possible...I'm not even thinking about my own thoughts, rare as they are.

Updated with more detail. Getting to the Spray paint stage.

VERY NICE PROGRESS! The wooden flooring looks much better; AND the roof looks TERRIFIC...that is some humungus number of tiles up there. Keep up the GOOD WORK when the opportunity presents itself.

At my age, I cherish any feeling that doesn't involve a snapping sound & a sudden twinge. Just going with the feeling seems less stressful than actually thinking things through...there are advantages to living in the moment.
